File Name: Pistol Poker (Alvin G. and Company 1993)

File Submitter: antisect

File Submitted: 17 May 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): antisect
Manufacturer: Alvin G
Year: 1993
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

As a big fan of the AlvinG tables this was the missing piece

There's very little resources for this table, so I had to hand drawn about everything.
The playfield is pieced together from various skewed images (lots of it redrawn)

you'll need beta 3.4 of pinmame if you want the flashers to work.
https://github.com/v...inmame/releases

nFozzy Physics
Fleep sounds

The arrows on the backbox light up on the original table to show you what suit you've selected.
There's nowhere in the operation manual or rom that controls these so it must have been some other system on the table.
I've tried various ways of faking them but nothing works properly, any idea's are welcome.

thanks to:
pinmame team for fixing the flasher bugs.
flupper1 for the plastic ramp texture and lots of help
Wildman for the updated b2s

But nobody has the cab to play it !

why not, after all, "joust" was done and it's a similar layout :)

Thanks for this, a great table. I think the flipper physics could benefit from some tweaking though...

very nice table, good work, I like it! Looks like you had pretty good ressources!!
I just need someone to explain how to play it properly, I have no clue about the rules ;-) Nevertheless its good fun and unique table design.

yeah i tried those, they are for the flashers on the table but can be used for the arrows.
problem is once you've selected a suit they start flashing randomly so you cant see which one you chose.
(the real table keeps your choice visible until the whole backbox thing has finished)

To me it seems to work as it should, after I will try again.

I don't think the lights should be connected in any other way, these should be the solenoids 17 18 19 and 20,

if I use the other ROM pstlpkr, the arrows behave the same way I saw in the TNT video, they turn off after the card suit is selected.

Great stuff, thanks! I recommend to use the R02 version of the ROM though (pistlpkr).
