I am wondering if this is just me or if I maybe have something setup wrong.

 

When playing a table with an alphanumeric display being run on the third display by directb2s (say Genesis, or Funhouse)  the display is slow or even scrambled especially when there is horizontal "scrolling".  In Genesis it seems to update slowly, in Funhouse it seems scrambled. I don't think it was like this earlier in my setup which is making me wonder about it. Does this sound like a common issue or just the way it is or ....?  I'm not even sure what parts are involved in making the alphanumeric displays.

Are you talking about the led scores buiilt into the backglass? Or the DMD?

If the DMD area, I usually turn it off since the score is already displayed on the backglass. Are you using freezy external dmd or internal VPinmame display

Funhouse uses a B2S detached DMD section if you have 3 screens defined in screenres.txt

 

 

But it should not look scrambled

I have three screens and I am talking about when B2S (I assume) is displaying it on the third (dmd) screen and its not the pinmame display.   I will try to get some screen shots and maybe a video if I can, but I seem to have injured myself yesterday and I can't walk or stand without being in pain. I have freezy installed and the most recent change I can think of is replacing ultradmd with flexdmd which I didn't think would be related.  I can't promise it was working fine earlier, but it seems like something I only started taking serious note of lately.

Identifying the display:

Windows taskbar and alt tab will call
Freezys: Virtual DMD
Vpinmame: Vpinmame
B2S DMD: just shows a generic .NET application icon

 

Also Freezys and VpinMAME can be clicked on, drug, and right clicked on for context menus

VPinMAME offers an option called game settings, freezys offers an option to save position
B2S DMD can not, only the backglass can, which brings up the B2S menu 

 

I have not yet read of a person having a problem with B2S garbling displays

but once you determine which thing you are looking at, can try to suggest some things

You mean we are not supposed to be like that every day?
I thought that was normal?
