File Name: Space Rider (Geiger 1980)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 20 Apr 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1980
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Based on the Geiger table from 1980, which was actually a conversion kit for Harlem Globetrotters from Bally.

Thanks to TAB for the pictures of the playfield and the plastics, which I enhanced and changed some of the words on the playfield and plastics so the table doesn't seem to be a basketball table.

Thanks, very nice looking table

I saw on IPDB that Harlem Globetrotters table had also been used to make this one, about a German singer from the eighties

So, there were a lot of "moders" at that time too :) And many people copying the designs from other manufacturers :) So, it is not only now in the virtual world, but also before in the real world :)

I guess Geiger liked a lot the woman from Xenon :)

Weird, the rom sounds didn't work at first then when I was recording the videos using PBY, they just started working. Hmm.. Very nice table! Thanks as always.

Great job as always JP !!! One small remark - DOF for the right flipper works only for the first hit, then it is silent. Left flipper is OK.

Maybe some hint what to change in the script?

Thanks,

Wudek

I'll take a look :)

Edit: I have just taken a look and the DOF commands seems to be ok to me. I'm afraid I can't do anything more. I do not have DOF so I can't test it, maybe others will test the table and write here if it works ok on their system. Someone? :)
