Hi people; I'm completely new to this, but I already tried in other ocassions to run the *.vpx files, which I guess, are playable in Visual Pinball, searched in Google, tried different solutions, downloaded many different files and none of that have been succesfull; otherwise, I won't be here, desperately openning a thread that it was already opened who knows how many times in the human history... so please, HEEEEELLLPPPPPP MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have come to the right site :) From the left menu you'll see "Getting Started", just read the installation guide, to get an ideas how everything works, then download the VP installer from the same menu, just download the latest version, currently 10.6. The rest it is explained in the guide.

i will give you my no video fast installation guide

1 Download and install the following (DO NOT install to program files, install to your own folder, like c:\visual pinball or c:\VPX, or permission issues will plague you)

VPX installer

2 Download the VPinballX61_Minimal.zip You unzip this into the folder you installed to above, allow to replace ALL files

Visual Pinball X (Standalone EXE)

3 Download Visual C++ runtimes all in one, to make sure all of yours are up to date
Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One

4 Not required but may as well be up to date, this you unzip to the VPinMAME folder in your vpx install, allow overwrite all

Download Visual PinMAME (Standalone DLL) 3.3b

5 Download these, and unzip to your VpinMAME folder also, allow overwrite if it asks, the 64 bit is not technically required, but you will have it of you need it later
dmdext-v1.8.2-x86.zip
dmdext-v1.8.2-x64.zip

6 Download This and unzip to your VpinMAME folder also, then run the flexDMDUI.exe and click the 2 register button

FlexDMD.zip

7 You may not need this, but if you do not have directX 9 installed, download and run

OK, now you have a running VPX installation

Now you just need a table, the .VPX file goes in the tables folder
A ROM, which goes in the vpinmame\roms folder and does NOT get unzipped

and a .directB2S backglass, which the .directb2s file goes in the tables folder, and the table and the backglass need to have the same file name aside from the extension

Now you should be able to begin making it run
And you will have more questions

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow
