File Name: Shrek (Stern 2008)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 06 Dec 2020

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, Ninuzzu
Manufacturer: Stern
Year: 2008
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This fine table from Ninuzzu is one for the kids (if your child is a pinball prodigy). Playing the mini pinball while multiballing on the main playfield will test your mettle! I've done a makeover.
3.0 has new physics, lighting and sound for 10.8\3.6 plus FastFlips
Enjoy :)

It will test something, but the only metal involved will be a hammer LOL

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow

Actually a successful update.

Looks good and plays well.

But:

My pinball finger has two different color.

Yello to dark yellow to a pinball finger - see image

s.jpg

Yellow and dark yellow in one pinball finger (I don't find that very nice) - see picture

The other pinball fingers are also dark yellow.

I would personally prefer the lighter yellow.

How can I change that?

The image quality of Shrek, donkey and puss in the middle of the playfield has been blurry on all versions of this table, as far as I can tell. It's a distraction to me for some reason.

Bigus wrote the graphics have been improved, but the playfield is still quite blurry.

Is there a way to up-res the playfield and reinsert it? I've never done this, so I wouldn't know where to start.

Maybe that's the highest quality picture that can be found on the internet.

Open the table in VPX, open the image manager (Table menu, Image Manager - or press F3).

Click on "PF shrek" and export the image. It will be saved with its real name "PF shrek-sharpen-DeNoiseAI-standard.png" to the folder you have chosen.

Use your favorite image editor to enhance the image. Use your favorite AI upscale website. Etc.

Use e.g. Google to find images like this to compose your enhanced picture.

Have fun ;)
