File Name: Terminator 2 (Williams 1991) Video Backglass+Extras

File Submitter: HiRez00

File Submitted: 18 Oct 2020

File Category: UVP Animated Backglasses

Author(s): HiRez00
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1991

This special VIDEO backglass for Terminator 2 (Williams 1991) that can be used as an alternate or for JP Salas' new VPX table.

This NOT a B2S file because what I wanted to do for my setup isn't possible as a b2s backglass.

These have been made for 3 screen users ONLY that have the DMD on a separate screen or Real DMD.

Backglass videos are 1920x1080 HD VIDEOS that continuously / seamlessly loop in both your front end system or when you play the actual T2 table.

INCLUDED FILES:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

T2-Alternate-Video-Backglass.mp4 (custom new original backglass)
T2 (Williams 1991) RealColorDMD.avi
T2 (Williams 1991) RealColorDMD.mp4
T2 (Williams 1991) Wheel-1.png
T2 (Williams 1991) Wheel-2.png

If you need toppers for this table - I uploaded some to this site a while go already.

HOW TO USE VIA PINBALLX :

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

1.) Make sure you name / rename the VPX table a completely different name than any other version of the table you may have. So instead of naming the table Terminator 2 (Williams 1991).vpx - name the table T2-Alt (Williams 1991).vpx. This will prevent VPX from trying to "match" the b2s file to the table when it loads. You should NOT rename any b2s to that file name. It should load without any backglass present because there is no backglass named that special name or even close to that name.

2.) Load PinballX's game manager and select "Add New" table. Use the manager to add the T2-Alt (Williams 1991) table as the table name. You can set the Description to whatever you want ... Using the pulldown menu, and select Backglass - and load the backglass .MP4 file you want to use.

3.) IMPORTANT: Directly under the Table name and Description for this table in PinballX, there is a row of check boxes. Make sure "Hide Backglass" is UNCHECKED. This will keep the backglass video running when load the table through PinballX and keep it on the screen looping while you are playing the table.

4.) Load PinballX, scroll through to this particular table, and go ahead and load it ... and go PLAY pinball!

That's it!

Similar styled front ends can use "basically" the same process. but I only use PinballX at the moment so I cannot provide any additional info how to use other front end systems.

This project took considerable time ... so "thanks" or comments in the support topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for this one Rez! I have all of those that you have done so far...really enjoy them as they are a fantastic alternative to the original backglass. Thanks once again!

I don't use a front end presently so this isn't for me but having played some of these backglass videos, they really do bring a lot to the experience. Thanks hires00 for all you do and whenever I end up going back to a front end, I'll use it for sure!

Is there a way to utilize a backglass.mp4 file in place of a b2s.directb2s file without a frontend?

If you run it in a video play set to loop, on full screen

Or use Pinup player

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow
