Hi,

i just got my new strobe device and i would like to use it with FX3. To get the ultimate challenge for my eyes i would like to hit the strobe with every slingshot and bumber action. 

 

Maybe strobe is the wrong word because its just 2x22leds which are active all the time, so the flashing effects needs to come from pinscape/doflinx and not the hardware

 

these are the devices which are both wired on Port 16 on my pinscape

With the pinscape output testet i can successfully start my strobe. It is also working fine with vpx.

Now i am trying to use it in FX3 but i never saw it working. I dont know what action on the tables (attack from mars, earth defence, medieval madness)  is triggering the strobe so maybe i was just unlucky but at the end i have another idea. I would like to hit the strobe on every bumper and slingshot hit.

LINK_SR=116,ON,0,255   # maybe i need flash here because the hardware itseld cant flash

 

and 

 

AUTO_MX=1

 

what i would like to achieve at the end is that the strobe is getting a signal on every slingshot and bumper (as my solenoids and rgb flashers are already doing). Is there an easy what to add another outputport (116) to the event which is triggered on bumpers and slingshots? where can i find these information what is triggered when a target like that is hit? 

 

I hope my information are useful and good in this thread. Its my first thread and i am very new to this great topic of vpin

Exactly as above, this will not flash, but is on for such a short time I doubt you will notice

 

Alternatively you can attach a strobe action to LS and RS in the ALL_Post.FX3 file - try the above first.

I changed the line to 116,1000,5000,255 (as my solenoids) now even the real strobe line (LINK_SR) is working so thank you for the hint about "i doubt you will notice" :)
 
 
Now i can feel, hear and see my bumpers, slingshots and jackpots :)
