File Name: Batman Dark Knight (Stern 2008)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 17 May 2020

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, Tom Tower, ninuzzu
Manufacturer: Stern
Year: 2008
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This beauty from Tom Tower and ninuzzu has plenty of action to keep you busy.
I've given it a makeover and also added Vogliadicane's cool Joker lighting mod.
3.0 has modulated lighting for 10.8/3.6 plus FastFlips.
4.0 Batmobile ramp operation, layout and script redesigned to cope with multiple balls
so it's finally fixed and no more losing balls and ending the game!
Enjoy :)

Thanks for the masterpiece. It plays excellant. But i have sometimes a ball stuck in the right upper VUK. Only nudging solves the problem.

Is there a backglass (direct2bs) available ?

Ok i found the backglass on the other side :)

Great work thanks bigus1. Just one issue that I assume it was there on the original release, my balls keep getting stuck/lost on the orange ramp.

Played a few games in the desktop mode. The right flipper one step down and the table is absolute perfect.

This is your Masterpiece of Mod. Love the moving Joker.

best regards bolt

A change of a new Spiderman table with a new Doc Ock model?

I updated to VP 10.7 beta (rev. 4098) and the issue is gone.

But i have a script error:

Line 1079: out of range: number 5

Just testing out the original BDK VPX versions I have. Version 1.2 has this issue but 1.11 seems fine.

Same here on each game I play. A beautiful masterpiece though!

Very nice!!!

How did you stop the ball getting lost on the orange ramp, did you tweak the script or something?

Thanks, no changes in that department of the script. Maybe POV related?

Hi balisaan, I've never seen your problem. Have you changed any settings like maybe 'Game Difficulty' or anything that might help me track it down?

I've had the 'out of range' error, but only rarely. I think that it has something to do with 2 balls dropping simultaneously, so it's probably a sound-related issue.

Hi, a great table. I have a lot of fun, but I have the same problem like sasa12345. During multiball, two balls disappered in the top of the playfield. Maybe behind the batmobil.

Hi, a great table. I have a lot of fun, but I have the same problem like sasa12345. During multiball, two balls disappered in the top of the playfield. Maybe behind the batmobil.

There's a wall and ramp in that area that seem a bit low and may allow access to the cavity below the batmobile, so I raised the heights with no ill effects. I'll save that for an update.

Thanks galahad 1966.  Unfortunately not POV related, its a game killer and only restarting VP can fix it for me.

Thanks bigus1.  Yeah happens every single time.  I noticed the exact same thing happens with version 1.2 of the original release BDK VPX but not with version 1.11 which works perfectly for me.  Not sure what changes were made between 1.11 and 1.2 but whatever was done gets the ball lost for me on that orange batmobile ramp.

Thanks for the fix I am hoping it will work on the next release of yours.  Good job once again!

I managed to replicate the problem. Balls queue at the ramp entrance and when the ramp raises, the balls roll under the ramp and are lost/stuck. I'm pretty sure that they shouldn't be queueing there in the first place. Maybe gate misbehaving. Anyway, I'm on it, but chime-in if you can help :)
