I have not played this one in a long time, This table is almost 5 years old and it still holds up to this day. Ian was ahead of his time. Fantastic original.

Thought i'd come out of the woodwork for a while as Popotte uploaded my table...
Thanks for the comments it's good to see people still enjoy playing it.
I have never actually completed the table myself (escaped from the island) without cheating,
I think I made the difficulty curve a bit too harsh!

I still have a couple of unreleased tables, and one - namely Domino Rally,
was basically complete apart from some extra music,
so when I get round to doing some tunes i'll get this uploaded too.
I think I peaked with EFMI and don't know if I could better it,
although I did start a new table called PinJay
- a DJ/music style table which I had grand plans for,
but it was around the time FP was released and I wanted to use that,
as it had multiple music channel control and speed functions
but the physics let it down somewhat so I kind of gave up (designing) pinballs.

Out of interest it seems someone else has grabbed the name "ian"
which was my original name on the old vpforums, pinball originals and FP site too...
oh well I should have signed up sooner!

Hi. Actually I haven't tried vp9 yet i'll go and grab it...
Presumably vp8 tables don't work with it considering there are 2 different categories of downloads?
Maybe I can make Domino Rally work with it.

So what's the community like nowadays? It got a little out of hand with shockman, pacdude etc mouthing off,
one of the reasons I drifted away...

nice table based on a classic game. thx

i seem to have some problems with fonts used by tables (not only this table). Im playing under Vista and have copied the fonts to the fonts folder but i get the impression VP doesnt find/uses those fonts.
Does anyone have an idea?

odd, I have xp so really can't help ya; but I have all fonts saved in my Windows Font folder. and both VP8 and VP9 go for that folder with no problem. Actually if I remember correctly it should tell you what font you are missing but would still play using the windows default one which may screw up window images for displays do to using a bigger font now, but it would still play anyhow, and you can always change the font in the editor once the table is loaded! then again, some of the guys here have gone to great lengths to either get one or even make their own and you would be missing out if played without that certain font. But don't worry give the post some time as this is seen worldwide, and someone will see it and post a solution for ya'!

I have had problems with fonts before, normally because they didn't install correctly.
The Williams font used for the display is quite important, as its custom there are all kinds of odd characters being displayed if its not used.
Try faralos' suggestion and make sure the font is set to Williams Pinball (not wide), Bold, Size 22.

Please bear in mind that once you get to the voodoo ball mode the table will break on VP9
- it uses some of Dorsola's old magnet code which doesn't work at all on VP9 and I haven't yet looked at getting it working, as this was a particularly complicated part of the table...
You might be able to edit the script yourself to bypass it though if you have time and patience.

i've been playing this table for years now since it was brand new and wanted to say thank you for creating one of my fav game series into a pinball machine Ian.

For some reason though since just like 2 weeks ago my nudge buttons no longer work out of the blue. I think I may have to redownload the table smile.gif

You're welcome, glad this table is still getting a few plays now and then.

When the tabled first loads up you can press "6" to enter the service menu, and you can turn on and off nudging there in one of the options
- this feature was included as nudging during critical times in a couple of modes would break them!
That might be the reason why it's not working now? (may have defaulted to off)

EDIT: aha! yes pressing 6 cured my problems, thanks again Ian!

After a long time I started again with playing pinball and I am glad I found this table, being one of my favorites at the time.
However I have one small problem with the fonts in the display (Is that the right term ? I mean the window at the left top corner with the moving fonts). The fonts are only partlially visible (about 3/4). I assume the size is too large.
Above I already read that it should be possible to change that, but I cannot find out how to do that. I opened the script in the editor but don't see a possibility to change font size.
How should I do that ? Btw, the font size in Windows is set to 100% (in case that that is important).

to change font size go in to the editor click on the backglass option on the left then click on a text box, look on the right where the font name is, clicking on that will open up a font load window where you can change fonts (some fonts automatically write larger) AND the font size try that
