I'm trying to resolve the horrible tracking judder I'm experiencing, and posted about it here

I'm surprised the cause would be my graphics card, as it's not quite being pushed to the max, and the stuttering remains even when supersampling is dropped to 20%, all graphics set to minimum settings, SteamVR is reporting that it's rendering frames in half the required time, and the judder doesn't appear in the VR preview (only in headset).

Still, I can't yet rule it out, so I'm curious what you're running.

Mine are:

i5-4670K 3.4GHz

Radeon RX 480 video card (8GB)

16GB RAM

Windows 10

Oculus Rift (CV1)

You get good performance with this setup?

Do you have to be conservative with graphics options for it to remain smooth?

I5-6600

16gb ram

GTX 980ti

Windows 10

Rift CV1

Running most settings on minimum, with supersampling at 1.33

Some tables run smooth, with 0 stutter.  Some tables are unplayable due to stutter.

Overall, I feel I need a new system to run VPVR better.

Also hoping for some possible code improvements to make things run better.

Yeah! The performance is pretty great. Almost zero stutter. If I crank up the resolution settings using the Oculus debug tool, I get a little stutter maybe on a five ball multiball (Indiana Jones, for example). Otherwise, really smooth gameplay.

I'm really happy with the Quest and firstparty Oculus Link cable (although I hate contributing to Zuckerberg's billions!). Might as well repeat it here: I was formerly using the "Party Link" third party cable with Quest. I got tons of crashes. With the official Oculus Link cable, I haven't had a single crash so far. Been using it for a little over a week.

I leave anti-aliasing off in VPVR settings. Haven't really experimented with those.

All that said, metal ramps and plastics that reflect a lot of light can look all "sparkly" in the Quest headset. Not sure what others are experiencing. I'm not complaining, by any stretch. Looking forward to the day there's enough resolution in a VR headset to get a crisper image. Things get blurry toward back of table.

Win 10
Intel 9600k

16 GB

Geforce GTX 1070

Oculus Quest w Link

Everything runs fine so far.
I don't like the unsharp DMD, because it is in the background and important. Normally things in Background are not important in games. ;)

So I copy the DMD into the front as an additional game-interface.

WIN10PRO

Intel I7-9700K (8 cores, no HT, at 4,6 GHz)

16 GB

RTX2080Super

VR Headset Oculus Rift CV1 at 90 Hz

Coming from I5-8500 / GTX1070, upgraded last month cause I dislike any stutter in gameplay.

Comparison of my old / new system can be found here.

Hey do you have a native usbc port or are you using a usb c to a adapter.
I'm having a lot of disconnects with almost the same specs. I'm thinking its the c to a adapter i have

Those are some serious specs...   Damn...

So..   I'll have to assume that you can run every table with no stutter?

@otro5

How are you using the 2- 2080ti cards?

SLI? I didn't think VR supports it..

OR 1 for Playfield and the other for backglass. Last I tried using 2 cards, I found that it worked faster with just 1 card..

The Tables run fine, but only with the
Latest SAMBuild for the version 3.3 cycle ( updated 12/19).
Before having problems with DMD color on FPS.I am using SS
on VPX VR 2x
On VR second GPU doesn’t work.

Win 10 Pro
Intel 8700K (overclocked to 5Ghz)
32 GB
Geforce GTX 1080Ti
Valve Index

Usually at 1.33 Super sampling and sometimes 1.5 (depends on the table)

I use a 3.1 USB-A Port of my Gigabyte Z390 Gaming board with this cable without any interrupts:

i7 10750h  turbo up to 4.6

1650TI

Pimax 4k through hdmi

Amazingly this setup works fine on most tables with the exception of funhouse. It plays perfect with the non VR Room version, but the VR version release has too much extra rendering with the other tables and gaming boxes to work smooth
