Ok, So I have not touched the machine in a while, then I had to move it downstairs.  When I disassembled the machine I also decided to replace my LCD DMD with a Pin2 DMD.

So i'm all ready to go - Removed the 15" LCD, replaced it with the DMD (I have not powered on the machine since disassembly)

Go to test a table and get 'Cannot Create ActiveX Component' message.  My searching over various forums suggested reloading/reactivating the b2s server/service which I have done but I get the same error.

Is there something, somewhere I need to tell it that there is no 3rd screen now or something?

What windows are you on?

Is there something, somewhere I need to tell it that there is no 3rd screen now or something? - No

What version of the VP are you on?

If you turn off the back glass in VP does everything run?

Latest back glass server

Latest SAMBuild VPinMame at the bottom of the 1st post -> http://vpuniverse.co...32-beta-thread/

Try this

The machine is windows7 64bit

I have tried with VPX and VP9

Running the latest version of b2s as you linked to - All 'unblocked' etc.

I changed the virtualDMD to 'false' and ensured the PIN2 DMD was 'true'.

Not 100% on the version of VPinMAME but as I said, this was all working  fine previously.

I have not yet tried with the DMD disconnected.

How do I turn off the backglass?

In VP10 run a game right click the back glass uncheck - Errormessagewithoutbackglass

Then you can remove the back glass from the table folder and it just won't load it and there will no error

Or in VP10 Go to preferences, configure keys nudge and Check disable B2S - if you don't feel like moving the back glass

But the table will not start, so I never get to be able to right click on the backglass.

I did find a b2s log file containing the error so I am pretty sure this is a b2s issue but there is just no detail as to specifically what it is.

Try this

You can always go in this file in the tales folder and edit  -- B2STableSettings.xml

and edit this line in the top section and set it to 0  ---   <ShowStartupError>1</ShowStartupError>

Same as do this -- run a game right click the back glass uncheck - Errormessagewithoutbackglass

I spent a lot of time googling last night already and nothing I found made any difference.

Edit: Yes, my post count on here is low which makes me look like a total n00b but I built all of my machine from scratch, including the toy controller, analogue plunger and joystick controller interface.  No commercial equipment is in my cab, it is all made by me. I also have been working in IT for over 20 years so I have a pretty good grasp on most things related to VP cabinets.
