i have two monitor setup. one game i can get the dmd in place and sized properly but then i start a diffrent table and the dmd is orianted sideways. how do i fix this? and also how do i make the dmd stay resixed? medieval madness vp91 works well but monster bash 2.8 does not .. also im on windows 10 and the task bar is showing when ingame.

ok follow up. got most of my backglasses working with dmd ontop of them and resized. however this is something i can not figure out. some games the dmd is fine and some it hides behind the backglass. i have changed setting to show dmd as visable and other things but just wont stay on top. example is i got avengers 2012 but after moving the backglass and resizing it ends up behind the backglass not on top i can get it to show with alt tab. i also can hit reload and it will pop ontop but is not there on first load. also if i do the reload the game then will not allow me to start.

By right clicking the back glass you can find out if you already have the latest version by comparing that image to the image in this post

Maybe you just need to adjust the settings To fix your problem

 

Try this Backglass Server 

With this server you can set it so back glass has to have the exact same name as the game....

-

If you are running this version of the back glass you can make a copy of your ScreenRes.txt file and change the extension to res and call it the same name as the game

Then in that res file make changes for that table..

B2S Backglass Server 1.3.0.4

 

Also make sure To re-Register the server With this file which is already in your tables folder...B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp.exe

You want Start this back glass in EXE mode On and set Default start mode in exe  -- See Image below for other Settings

You will need to experiment with this option...Bring BG Form to Top... .With it not checked the DMD should come to the front

There's also a spot to check if You want to have exact file match

If everything is working right no need to do what it says below
Make a backup of your files 1st

In the table folder you will find this file B2STableSettings.xml
If you Don't have any special settings with some back glasses SEE "Otherwise" Below
If you want you can make it part of the default by Adding this to the bottom of the top section in the File -  <FormToFront>1</FormToFront>  and it will become part of the default

After doing that try before doing the next step because you may not need do...

If you have special settings with some back glasses you can use Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

It's easy to do multiline replace in Notepad++. You have to use \n to represent the newline in your string, and it works for both search and replace strings. You have to make sure to select "Extended" search mode in the bottom left corner of the search window.

"Otherwise" delete the file, Run a game with a back glass Click save settings close out game a New file should be in your tables folder
In top section in the File add <FormToFront>1</FormToFront> will be checked - Bring BG form to top
In top section in the File add <FormToFront>0</FormToFront> will be unchecked - Bring BG form to top

thanks mine is save version ect just no bring bg form to top selection..

actually i cant goto vpuniverse their system is not sending me a confirmation email i have tried for over 24 hours and not one has come thru even checked spam folder and nothing has been sent

using what you suggested it worked well for most games but some the dmd always loads behind the bg. while others work fine

You're doing this straight from the VP editor or from a front end

What does the "Small" Button do in the Backglass Settings?

Do I have to create a <gamename>.res for each table or can I store the Information for the smaller (bigger) Backglass in ONE file (e.g. ScreenRes.txt) and control it with the SMALL button?

If your using B2S Backglass Server 1.3.0.4 from post #5 Then you should have that Option
