Kinda late to the party here, but I'm having great troubles with the ROM settings for the coin and the number of balls.

Going with a blank ROM with no NVRAM settings, the game gives me 3 balls and inserts 6 credits when I press "5".

I read the tutorial (https://www.vpforums...ials&article=91): I press F6, I activate DIP switch 4, I hear the annoying noise.

I can access all the settings, move to setting 20 and change the number of balls to 5.

But when I press F6 again and deactivate DIP switch 4, nothing happens to the display, the game doesn't show that it's restarting or anything.

So I press F3 to reload the table, and when I start a new game, it only gives me 3 balls again.

I go into the settings again, and it's still set to 5 balls in there.

I deleted the NVRAM file, tried reconfiguring, re-downloaded the ROM... no change.

What am I doing wrong?

Also I have never been able to change the settings of the ROM,

but if I remember correctly the manual says to set other parameters again, even if not really necessary.

If I find time, I'll try again later.

Press the F6 key and turn on the sw4, and then press Ok,

press key 7 to navigate through the various tests,

with key 1 (credit) you can modify the parameters of the settings.

It is necessary to reset the test accounting parameters 6,7,8 and 9,

hold down the credit key (1) for a couple of seconds, until the displays indicate 0,

to be done even if the display already shows 0.

Then make the desired changes such as changing the number of balls per game, etc.

When done, go back to test 0, where you hear the annoying sound, and turn off the sw4 switch.

The multi special doesn't seem to be giving me the 1,000,000 points. Is this an option or a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

It depends on what is set in test 27.

You have to follow the instructions of the tutorial  https://www.vpforums...ials&article=91 and what I said above to change the setting of the test 27.

00 = no win

01 = 1 bonus ball

02 = 1 replay

03 =  1 superbonus

04 = 1.000.000 points

@vladaymir

I noticed the left vertical flip didn't go back to its original position. Does it have to do with the VPX version I'm using?

If you give us some more information, regular or VPX beta, 32 or 64 bit, VPinMame version.
