Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is a VPX conversion of a 1992 Gottlieb Operation Thunder table. Big thanks to mfuegemann for the awesome VP9 version. I saw that someone started to make a VPX version and decided to leave it for anyone to do. The version that mfuegemann did was so well done that I didn't have much to do to it to make it VPX worthy. From his models to the playfield it was all well done and clean, in my opinion. It needs the rom "opthund.zip" to run, you will have to find that yourself. Here are some thanks I found in the script.

Thanks to the following:

mfuegemann for the masterpiece VP9 version which made this an easy conversion to VPX.

Akiles5000 for all the resource images of the playfield and plastics
Batch for creating the Desktop Backdrop image
Zaphod, Destruk and Scapino for the Vari Target solution from their VP8 table
Fuzzel for providing the images for the playfield lights
Kodiac for Flipper Primitive routine
JPSalas for the Flasher fading code
Arngrim for the SoundFX code

Excellent job! By far the best table youve released so far! My only two notes, at the top of the field you forgot to assign a material image to I believe the gate. I set it to metal so no big deal. The only tweak I personally think that needs to be made is the opening skill shot. A lot of times the ball just misses the pop bumper not even giving you the opportunity to try and take out the power plant.

Thanks Rascal. Fun table. Is there something not quite right about the radar ramp? I try the shot and it just doesn't want to complete the ramp.

Ok there will be a version 1.1 coming out today. So far I have adjusted the slingshots to be more powerful and easily fired (fixed). In converting to VPX, the powerplant turntable trigger turned into a small square when it should have been a large star trigger (fixed). This is for sure the reason it didn't react right. Indeed I missed that gate entering the powerplant (fixed). And now I am just looking it over for any more things that need to be fixed. So if you know of any, speak now or forever hold your peace. Thank you for the reports so far!

Thanks Rascal. Fun table. Is there something not quite right about the radar ramp? I try the shot and it just doesn't want to complete the ramp.

The radar ramp is hard to hit and needs to be hit just right from the upper right flipper, but it can be done. But I did notice a part that I had the wrong color on over there, so thanks for bringing my attention to that ramp.

Edit: Version 1.1 uploaded, see change log for changes.

Thanks a lot, it was one of my prefered VP9 tables from MFuegemann !

It's a pity that most of his other tables are not from Gottlieb, but, as he did some rare Spanish tables, perhaps Akiles and JP Salas will do them ! ;)  :love39:  :)

I've had the honor of converting a few of his tables so far, and I have to say he really does some nice work. Very detailed. Salute to mfuegemann!  :dblthumb:

I'm more than OK with you, RascaI, Salute to MFuegemann !

I think I'll rework the backdrop, because we can see the wings of the plane and holes on both sides the table, and I'll send it to you when it's done

Thanks for converting it to VPX, it's really a very addictive table !
