Batman VP9(Update 1)

Version: VP9
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): Subzero, Pinball Ken, Sellenoff, Updates By Subzero

Description:
Update of my Batman table for VP9
This is an update to my batman table, I have updated some lights, ramps, translite, new apron and a few more enhancements from the VP8 version. I've also changed some sounds.

Fixed the slow ball speed, adjusted the slope and gave the flippers more power.

Not happy with the rightside ramp though, might tweak it a bit more.

The VP9 version of your created Batman table is very, very slow.

I dont notice any slowdown at all, but you could try unchecking 'hardware graphic rendering'

Anyone else having a slowdown problem??

I think he may be referring to the ball roll speed being slow as opposed to a performance issue. Perhaps he could adjust the table slope slightly if he wants faster game play?

Line 16 should be changed from
ExecuteGlobal CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject").OpenTextFile(VBSfile, 1).ReadAll

to
ExecuteGlobal GetTextFile(VBSfile)

That way virus checkers won't throw a window up and vp will search for the vbs file if it's not in the same directory as the table is - ie if you open the table directly from the zip.

The plunger barely gets the ball to the rollovers for me, and it can't make it up the middle ramp. You increased the table slope from 4.5 to 6.5, without increasing the flipper speed/strength or the plunger release speed which would make the game slower that way. (actually you lowered the plunger fire speed from 140 to 135 for some reason?) The easy fix would be to change the slope back to 4.5 but then the ball on the table will roll slower than it does now.

Build a fire, vipers love the heat.

I'll take a look at it tonight and make the changes destruk mentioned - cant remember changing the table slope though ... weird
Actually now I think about it, I did change the table slope, I thought that there wasnt enough visibility of the top of the table...
