File Name: Radical (Bally 1990)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 07 Sep 2018

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1990
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Based on the Bally table from 1990.

Thanks to Leo for suggesting this table and to Grizz and hassanchop for their playfield and plastics redraws. For this table I increased the resolution of the playfield and I added new insert lights and texts.

Also thanks to wtiger for all the images of the real table.

Version 1.1.1 has the ramps made by 32assassin and a flipper adjustments by ClarkKent. An improved/mod version of this table was made by VPW and can be found at the "rebels" site :D

Versión 4 includes both the prototype and regular versions in one table. Use the player options at the top of the script to select the table you want to play. Default settings are the prototype.

Thank you for this VPX recreation. I love the playfield layout on this Bally gem..

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

just need the clear plastic textures rendered

the ramps are not 100% accurate to the real ones, but its hard to do that when you only have a hand full of pictures for reference.

Thank you again JP, and Leo, Grizz and wtiger - also thanks i.a 32assassin, nice work what you Guys did and do here …

Note to German Players: there is also a German ROM avaiable: https://www.vpforums...ds&showfile=952

JP, small "Typo" in Script, or is it from an older Script: German ROM is only "radcl_g1" - without L before G

I simply copied a few parts of the old script, like the names of the ROMs. I never tried them though, since I only played with the latest ROM. I'll fix it when 32assassin is ready with the ramps and I'll update the table :)

The table looks and plays great! I noticed the right slingshot at the top of the table does not activate a DOF solenoid. This seems to be the only item on the table that does not activate DOF toys. What can be changed in the script or in the DOF config tool to get this slingshot to trigger DOF?

Thanks again for this super fun table!
