Some reason, I can't get the table to 'coin up'. I can move the plunger, but no response when I press either 5, 4, or 3.

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

As all Gottlieb tables of that era, it works by pressing the "3" key.

At work so I haven't read the script yet. Expect it to contain 'if keycode=4'. You could change that to 'if keycode=AddCreditKey' and it will work as first coin door, AddCreditKey2 is the second coin door.

Happy to see this table come to VPX. Thank you very much JP. I have the day off from work tomorrow and I've planned it for mowing the lawn, followed by enjoying the newest releases. I hope it rains, so I can skip the mowing :)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Heya JP,

Just a heads up  -  My VP9 version of this table had rom sound disabled in the script and called sound effects manually for some reason including the tones for scoring etc.

I had to add  .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("sound")=1

to set the registry flag to get sounds back.   Not the fault of this table obviously but may be worth putting that in the script as an update in case others get the same issue who have been running the version of the table I have.

Dozer.

Looks nice JP  :otvclap:

For the coin issue if you add the following line in the keydown section just before the end sub then you down't need to worry about what key is coin in everyone's system.

If keycode=AddCreditKey then Playsound "fx_coin": vpmTimer.pulseSW (swCoin1): End if

In vpinmame tables we never use to add any credits keys, since that's is handled by the vbs files. I guess the vbs files need to be updated to handle the cabinets with only one key for the credits.

I thought mine were up to date. Will check against what VPForums has on site.

Just checked. I have the most up to date scripts.

system 1 tables in vp have always been this way because of how gottlieb handled it (look at any system 1 thread and they all eventually come up with this question). I would think there would be a way for swCoin to trigger the right one for gottliebs, but that would be an @toxie or @fuzzel thing, the one's I've done I just add that line because it takes care of it and then this doesn't come up.

I've got a few questions about not having ROM sound, so if you have no ROM sound simply run the table, press F1, check the "Use Sound", quit the table and run it again. No need to change the script.

About the coin keys, I mean that changing the GTS1,VBS will be the best way to do that, then all the Gottlieb system 1 tables will work. So in the GTS1,VBS file you'll find these lines:

            Case keyInsertCoin1  vpmTimer.AddTimer 750,"vpmTimer.PulseSw swCoin1'" : Playsound SCoin
            Case keyInsertCoin2  vpmTimer.AddTimer 750,"vpmTimer.PulseSw swCoin2'" : Playsound SCoin

then simply add a new one:

            Case keyInsertCoin3  vpmTimer.AddTimer 750,"vpmTimer.PulseSw swCoin1'" : Playsound SCoin

I'll tell that to toxie & fuzzel so they can update the GTS1.VBS file

Now the "5" key, usually the "AddCreditkey" will add coins too.

Thank you for this release.  I really enjoyed Pinuck's VP9 table but the sharpened graphics and Haunt's lighting in this VPX release is fantastic.  I'm having one issue where I only hear table sounds.  I do not hear any ROM sounds.  I've made sure to be on he latest VPX build (3448) and VPM 3.1 with SAM Build (4527).  I even refreshed the rom from your release link.  Other tables work just fine which is completely stumping me.  Any suggestions?

EDIT:  Disregard!  I just saw Dozer's advice.
