I finally got the time to change over to vpx. Wow big improvement. I wiped my vp from computer and did all in one installer and was able to get about 50 tables working but have errors on about 10 others. I have downloaded from a few websites online all reputable.
World poker tour I am getting an error, line 1 option explicit, but only after the ball is shot and enters the table
Medieval madness, plays fine until I hit the castle door and then error back to the script
Multiple tables like scared stuff, johnny mnemonic, pinball magic and red and ted all get the same results, error back to script on startup line 1 index out of range
No good gofers plays fine but no dmd visible. I edited the script on line 126 or something like that to show dmd but no joy.

I assume you have script files in your tables folder where they dont belong

Absolutely not, they are in the script folder. Sorry don’t do Facebook. The other 50 or so vpx tables work just fine that I loaded and edited to make work the way I want.

You may update to the latest beta version of vpx (10.5 to date)

Defender , the same thing this morning as soon as it hit the rt slingshot, line 1 index was out of range... avatar was added just before it and no issues

Have you updated the scripts from 10.5?

Not sure if the VPX all-in-one package installs the newest version of the db2s backglass program version 1.3.0.2

Try installing this version here and see if it gets rid of your errors.

Copy the contents into your tables folder. and overwrite old files. You may need to register it again.

unfortunately that did not work.  Pinball magic stops in the very beginning when the gear motor kicks on.  medieval madness plays fine until I hit the castle door and the it kicks out to the script.  could it be something associated with dof or b2s

I just installed and played junkyard vpx with no issues at all

Have you double-checked that all the EXEs and DLLs for VPX, B2S, and Vpinmame are unblocked?

I am gone for the next couple of days so not sure. I will go back and check. How would that affect some tables and not all though

Some peoples setups will require them to sometimes have to make sure all of the exe's are set to "Run as Administrator".

Some people have to check to make sure their system isn't blocking a dll.

 

Alot of people don't have to do these things, but I am one who does it everytime I install my pinpack. (Which is usually every other week when I restore computer to factory.)

I have to right click on my vpinballx.exe, and click compatibility, then click run as administrator.

I then have to go into table folder and do same for the b2s backglass program.

 

I do this for these 2 items in my tables folder..

 

B2SBackglassServerEXE

B2SBackglassServerRegisterApp.exe

 

I do this before registering app.

 

Not sure if this helps you, but this is what some people have to do to get the program to work properly on their systems.

 

This is also assuming you have no other loose scripts an any folders except your scripts folder.  You should have latest scripts, since you said you updated to the new beta.

Scripts are only in script folder and I used the 10.4 installer on a fresh install. I have had issues before but it was when I tried putting 10 over existing 9. I bit the bullet and wiped everything and have about 60 vpx tables working fine. My setup is an older i3 and the video card is just ok but so far everything looks good. I have the video settings average to low . I am confused why its only about 15 tables giving me problems. And its not the graphic intense ones only. Big shot for example doesnt work. I have tried different tables with different b2s files. I have never been able to get that table to work even on vp9. And its one of my favorite EM tables

I downloaded 6 EM vpx tables today all came with b2s in download. None worked. All tables got errors in script on startup dealing with tilts, credits,...all b2s code. Were these made on a different version of vpx or the b2s software and they wont work on the newest. Totally confused.
Also what is NET framework. I read in another post about checking to see if it was updated. Is that separate from vp ?

Installing the VPX4 all-in-one installer and the VPX 10.5 beta on top of it will run all tables.

Thats what I did. I cant understand this....

I didnt know if net framework was part of the vp package or windows. I am on win 10 32 bit. I3-2100 3.10 ghz. 1gb nvidea card dont remember model.

Could it be a performance thing, A bunch of vpx tables are working fine, none of the em tables work though.
I have 96 vpx tables working fine, not one EM table will work for me. Are the b2s files the same for em and SS tables, ...I am stumped


Just downloaded Airport vp9. Worked fine. Same b2s with the vpx version, got line 244 index out of range controller.b2ssetscorerolloverplayer1 0.

B2s came with vpx table. Got rid of b2s in table folder and tried table and same error. Could it be the table thats flawed

yes, .net framework is part of the all-in-one installer.  Performance issue would cause laggy slow gameplay, it wont cause script error.  

 

Time for you to delete and start from scratch again, or actually mention what EM table has issues and what the error actually is?  And no, saying all of them does not count...
