4Eyes VP Launcher is a simple launcher for VP and FP tables.

ExtractTableInfo is also included. It can scan a folder full of VP/FP tables and extract info relevant to use with the launcher.

Some other useful related documents included.

Bug Report:

I get 3 issues on my machine and I have all the files in the right place and followed the installation instructions:

1) The first one is more of an annoyance, however, when editing an existing machine, after clicking save, the whole program shifts from my backglass monitor to my playfield screen, even after dragging it back to my backglass screen, the previous version didn't do that.

2) When adding a screen shot by browsing to the relevant jpg file, the program does not display the screenshot even after saving and restarting.

3) I still can't get the Extract Table info tool to work, even when it sits in the Tables directory. I get an error saying "Bummer! There are no tables in this folder. Exiting..."

Cheers!!  :winetoast:

hello 4eyes, I can add tables to the program, but when I give it to launch nothing happens, I think the program does not recognize the executable "vpx.exe, how can I do it so the program can detect it?
Thank you for your job,i wish work well this launcher on my PC

G'day y'all,

I'm really ticked that there are bugs and new ones too. I will fix them but not today. Damn it!!!

@cueball1967, your 1st error is going to be difficult to trace as I have 1 monitor. I'll think about it and let you know.

Your 2nd error sounds will rectified in the next version.

Error 3 may be due to not having VP AND FP tables in the selected folder. I didn't test that. If that is the case make a temporary dummy test.vpt or test.fpt and I think that will be a work around.

@humanoide, ahhh.... that sounds like a real bug. Again, DAMN IT! IF you edit the csv file (yes, not the best way to do things) I would think it would be alright, well, after reloading the launcher.

Cool, thanks for the fast response.

So regarding error 3, I added dummy VPT & FPT files in the tables directory and the Extract Table info tool now works - Awesome!!

Regarding Humanoide's launch error, I get the same thing with v1.4 so I'm reverting back to version 1.3 for now and everything except the screen shots is working fine :)

Many thanks  :dblthumb:

G'day y'all,

Error 1 - I think the issue is related to Windows 'preferring' to run programs on your playfield monitor. Do you have programs that run on the backglass monitor? After an edit or creation of a new table, the launcher destroys the gui and rebuilds it to show the mods. I think it's that this is causing your problem. So, let's see... if you start the launcher on the playfield monitor and edit a table, does the launcher stay on the playfield monitor?

Error 2 - works for me which is annoying. The launcher expects screenshots to be in a folder named Screenshots under the folder where the program is started. Make sense? Can you please explain the steps and what you actually see? Does it display the 'No image available' image? Did you click 'Save'?

Error 3 - fixed

@humanoide, I've fixed your issue. I had 'cleaned up' some code and of course, broke it left, right and center.

So, it looks like all issues with the launcher are fixed. You'll understand if I take a day or 2 to test thoroughly before releasing a new version.

Got some additions for ExtractTableInfo then up she goes.
