File Name: Indianapolis_500_VPX10.4_1.1.rar

File Submitter: Dozer316

File Submitted: 18 Aug 2017

File Category: VPX Recreations

Author(s): JpSalas (vp9) - Dozer VPX version / Ramps by Flupper.
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1995
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Indianapolis 500 VPX 1.0

Here is Indianapolis 500 VPX - a recreation based on the VP9 version by JPSalas.

Please note that this version requires VPX 10.4 beta available from the following thread.

http://www.vpforums....ic=38450&page=1

Many thanks to Flupper for creating the ramps for me and to the host of other authors and content creators who make content available to
use by the community.

This recreation contains 7.1 surround sound code for systems that use surround sound setups for both sound and/or feedback.  If you do not have a
surround sound setup on your cabinet, you can still use this table and the beta version of VPX 10.4 setup for normal 2 speaker operation.

There are a number of table options at the start of the script - the option "surround" can be left on if you want normal table sounds to play as well as DOF (if you have active force feedback).
If you turn this off, you will have "legacy" functionality in that the DOF options in VPX can be used to disable table sounds that are assigned to DOF devices (as you can do in VPX 10.3).

Please post support questions in the support thread if you have any - Have fun - Dozer.

looks very Nice, but the flippers are acting weird.

Sometimes they don't flip or they stay up and I need to press again to bring them down, or they lag very bad making it impossible to play the table.

I don't know if it is vp 10.4 or the table.

I tried to play with the options to maximize performance but with no luck, the ball plays very smooth anyways.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks

I also play with 10.4 and there are no issues for me. The table and the flipperbats work perfectly.

I've had this happen to me while open directly in VPX.  A close and re-open has always solved the problem.  I've never had it happen when opening from a PBX front end.

(I have an i7, SSD, GTX960 4Gb and 32GB RAM... so it's not machine specs related me thinks)

Amazing table :-) Thanks. The only feedback is the shadow of the rotating sign in the top left is to harsh. Thought it was a glitch the first few times I saw it as it actually passes through the sign at some points.

Hi, great table!! My issue is that almost always the ball gets stuck under the left ramp (the "pedal to the metal" ramp), and the table begins it's procedure to try to recover the ball but with no luck. I'm playing "Indianapolis_500_VPX_1.1_RTM.vpx" on vpinbal v10.6. Thanks!

Ramps have some fixes since this table was made. Unfortunately it seems an update needs to be done to prevent this from happening. I know that Dozer is busy with moving to a new house. So, for now the suggestion is. Fix it yourself ( I haven't looked at the problem yet myself yet ) or play it with 10.4 until it gets updated.

Add an additional 200 tall Wall to the left ramp right wall to solve the problem. But you need an additional right wall for the right ramp too (if i remember 160 tall (or 180?) ). Walls must be collidable.

Stuck Ball: Stuck Ball, between the 'Pedal To the Metal Ramp" and the Spanner just to the right of the Ramp Entrance, Stuck behind the static bumper.

P.S.  Nice work on the table, absolutely love tearing the playfield up.

You need the 1.2 version of the table or you will have to fix it yourself
Of which the instructions to do so are listed above
