Yes folks.... It would seem that SLAMT1LT has retired from FP development.  His webpage no longer has any links to his tables.  He is concentrating on his career in real pinball development.  I, for one, are very sad that he has called it quits.  I wish he had stuck around to release his new Jaws and Bond tables.....

Very sad indeed. His creations were works of art!!

Good thing I downloaded all his tables when they were available.

Thats why you should always download tables and other things when they are available, because you never know when a site is just going to disappear, or an Author decides to remove all his tables and move on to other things in there life.

I hope he has success at whatever he is working on or trying to accomplish in his future.

And I want to thank him for all he done for this Pinball Community!!

That is indeed a big loss for the FP development. SLAMT1LT is/was one of the best and his tables are out of this world. As a matter of fact his tables are about the only ones I still have on my cab and his Alien Legacy and Freddy are my personal favorites. His involvement on the real Alien table is very obvious and I hope we will see more from him in the real pinball world!

Slamtilt works full time for HeighwayPinball so he gets plenty of pinball development there. No surprise he doesnt have time for FP any more.

Heighway is under "new" management, hope he made it through things alright there, a lot of people waiting on their refunds or alien pinballs on pinside... would hope payroll was still going through during all that.

This could happen to many more people!!

Almost every table Author, dB2S Backglass Author, and every person who works on these pinball programs and contributes their work to the Pinball Community, could have this happen to them. The people who contribute there works of art to this community could easily be swept up by a company and actually get paid for creating their magnificent  works of art, because they are that good. No debate. They are good at what they do, and they could easily get paid for it in my opinion.

I am very thankful for all the people who do contibute to this community, and while I always wish the best for people to succeed, I hope we don't lose any more of the "Great Contributors" of this community.

Keep on pinballin'

I've been reading this thread with interest over the last few days - all very true.  Definitely a loss to the community.  SALMT1LT was very generous sharing, certainly allowed us to build on his creations in FP with force feedback.  I plan to continue enjoying his creations.

OK...I am very new to virtual pinball and I am very bummed out by this news.  I love Slamt1lt's tables.  His Fireball is awesome!  He was my go to guy when it came to FP tables.  I understand his reasoning....but I for one would have paid for his tables.

Slamtilt has made some amazing games but if you read his current statement on his page, Stern taking ideas from his work seems a bit "jumping the shark" so to speak.  I would guess it's possible but still.

Wow, just read his statement on his homepage (http://speak1970.wix...pinballemporium).

The ego has landed!  :love39:

Although I have played some of his tables, I'm not a fan. For me the action should be 'under the glass'. All those video clips were distracting IMO. Plus, Future Pinball physics are shite compared to VPX.

That said, I wish him well at Heighway (although that is a company with problems - hopefully they're getting over them).

Yeah, I've actually spoken with him on social media and he seems like a nice dude but that whole new ego thing.... yeahhhhhhhhh.

And likewise on the well wishing.

You're forgetting Aliens Legacy.  Amazing game, think PinWest originally made it.  SlamT1lT just made it better.

Reading slamtilts website, you would never think that slamtilt ever used anybody elses material for his tables.

As Wolfanoz stated above "PinWest originally made Aliens Legacy table, slamtilt just made it better."

What if PinWest decided to not share there stuff because of people using there material or they want to make money off it?

Then Slamtilts table would never have existed.

I hope no other great authors here decide to start trying to make money off there work, and decide that there tables are just too good to give away for free. Or maybe they think other Pinball companies are stealing there ideas. (Are any of his tables original? They all seem to be movies that were made by a movie company, or Pinball tables made by other Pinball companies.)

You wouldn't be seeing very many new tables uploaded. And you would possibly see all the older tables that have already been uploaded, be taken offline just like slamtilts website.

Maybe JPSalas could start selling his works of art, because obviously his tables are top of the line. Could you imagine someone like JPSalas taking all of his tables offline?

Tables that have been available for free for many years, all the sudden are taken down.

I really hope slamtilt succeeds in all his endeavors, and I truly wish him and his family well. (His FP Tables were top of the line.)

I am sure we all wish the best for each and every person in this Pinball Community, and we all want them to succeed in their personal lives. But what if this starts the ball rolling and others start doing the same? This could get really bad, really quick for the rest of the Pinball Community.

It would only take a few good authors to do this, and this Pinball Community would be no more.

So...I want to thank each and everyone of the contributors to this Pinball Community.

From the people who make these tables, to the person who makes wheel images, adds ball rolling sounds, adds DOF, makes scorecards and instruction cards, makes 3D primitives, makes fading lights, dB2S backglasses, VPM Devs, Visual Pinball Devs, Media Packs, DT backgrounds, and much more. And to all the people who help others in this Pinball Community. Down to the person actually hosting the websites. To all those people who contribute many hours of there personal time, to help contribute to this amazing hobby!!

Without you, this Community does not exist.!!

This is just my personal opinion.

Keep on Pinballin'
