Looks great JP. I

love seeing old VP9 tables get the VP10 upgrade. Terrific work.

I was wondering. Can we officially consider you out of retirement now? :)

Thanks again for a great table.

I have a question regarding the sounds on this & other similar tables. Is there a typical setting such as chimes, noises, etc. that most real tables are setup for? I've tried all of them & some I like more than others. But if I'm trying to replicate a real table what's the favored sound setting?

Yes, there are 4 different settings for the sounds. Press F6 and configure the sound option you prefer. After that press F3 to restart the rom.

I understand how to change the sound settings. I was curious what this & similar real pinballs were typically set for. IOW if walked into a pinball arcade what would I usually find for the sound, presuming there was a preferred setting.

That would depend on the operator of the arcade.  Some operators would set these machines to play the electronic chimes, some would set it for electronic sounds. Still others would set it for both.

As I said it would depend on the operator.

Thanks for the table

It's fun to play, although it is quite bouncy and quick. Not sure if the real deal is also like that since I have never seen it in real life.

One thing I noticed is that the Extra Ball is not granted when the light is on and you hit the target at the end of the... what is that, shaft, corridor, tunnel? - heck knows the proper word for it :)

The playfield light indicating the extra ball is not illuminated either at this time, so it looks like this feature is not hooked up. Don't know what's the deal with the Special after that (couldn't hit that one :D)

I did that already, and I don't see what setting would control this:

It looks like "High score feature" controls if the extra ball and replay are enabled or not for all the game, and not only for the highscore. If you check the "extra ball" then the shoot again light is enabled, but not the replay, so if you get the special on the sides, after spelling DOLLY PARTON twice, then you just get score but not a replay. If you check the "replay", then both the extra ball (shoot again light) and the replay features are activated.

PS: I just read the manual, since I thought that "high score feature" was labeled wrong in the menu (inkochnito made that menu, and he is never wrong :) ), but it is right, the same switches are used to both enable the highscore feature and to enable the shoot again lights and specials. If that part of the menu is set to none then the shoot again light will never turn on, and the special light will only score 50000 points.

spectacular as usual. anyone else not getting ROM sounds? I hit F1 and confirmed use sound is checked. I hit F6 and set to chimes and noises. Tried hitting the End key and 8 and 9 per the Bally sound adjustment instructions but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Anyone? Still can't figure out why sound is not working on this table. (rom sounds) the VP mechanical sounds work fine.
