Hi all,

Firstly Ive spent some time searching and I can't seem to find a tutorial for True Fullscreen mode, if there is one, please point me to it and I'll be on my way.

The problem I am having is that I can't get any of my tables to work in it.

My system is good enough (I would think) i5 4490, GTX970 OC version, 16GB ram & SSD.

I start VPX 10.2 final, go to preferences, select True Fullscreen, select my monitor resolution, 1920 x 1080 60Hz (1080p 60Hz) and I get nothing, blank screen, blank DMD but I get backglass (B2S).

In some instances I get a rom error, even though the table will play perfectly on 10.2 when I choose Windowed Fullscreen.

I am only trying this as some light heavy tables get some tearing during lightning features.

99% of my VPX tables play beautifully but I have taken off most settings in preferences.

I have not gone so far as to delve into video card settings yet.

Any help would be appreciated if anyone has had like issues.

Cheers,

Jason

You need to set DDRAW to 0 for each of your roms in the registry.  Give me a tick and I will see if I can find a "how to" link for you.

I cant find a link, so this from memory....

Run Reg Edit

Go to

Computer>>HKEY_CURRENT_USER>>SOFTWARE>>Freeware>>Visual PinMame

Select the ROM name, right click ddraw and Modify, set the Value to 0

You will need to do this for each rom, or you can run a find and replace, but that is above my pay grade sorry.

Also, you can mod the default so that all new tables will have it set to 0 as default.

Got it to work, but does anyone else notice DMD slowdown after enabling true fullscreen??

One one of my most testing tables in True Fullscreen I was averaging 150FPS with forced AA on about 110.

The DMD seems to struggle to keep pace whereas I never noticed this before.

All monitors are set to 60hz. Not sure whats going on here but the DMD really struggles to keep pace.

Across multiple tables the DMD is really slow, for example Demolition Man avg 190FPS never drops below 180, DMD stutters and does not keep up. Fixed at 60FPS, does the same.

Tables with video that is needed are unplayable. Strange as.

I had issues with slow dmd. Solution that worked for me is to be sure you have the newest Vpinmame installed.

Cheers Umpa, I did have 2.8 but the driver update seemed to be required, in my case, also.

Ask on the site where you got Star Trek. They can help you there
