Baby Pacman

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): unclewilly

Description:
Baby Pacman
Baby Pacman

Table built and scripted by unclewilly.
I'd like to thank terry for the vectorized backglass and plastic scans, billpa for the plastics redraw and el_timbo for finding the control panel image and pf.
The script is written from scratch but the light numbers were based on steve ellenoff's lighting as the manual was not clear on the lamp numbers.

I hope you enjoy it

-unclewilly

P.S. I have included in the table zip a readme and keycode document that explains how to set up the joystic to your cabinet setup. By default the joystick is set to the arrow keys. I use a usb arcade stick for the game along with joytokey to map the buttons, but the readme will allow you to map the buttons as you desire.

Haven't played this one in a good while. Very nicely done U.W. I'll have to grab that joy to key program, cause I find it too hard to time quick turns using arrow keys. The whole package is quite sweet. Enjoyed cracking 100,000 after a few games.

I have started working on a joystick setup for this game for my cabinet. Ultimately, I will have a small wireless box that will suction cup to my lockdown bar running a HAPP joystick.

I have soldered an old Logitech gamepad (wired) to a HAPP joystick, and I am using JoytoKey to swap the controls for key presses. It seems to be working perfectly!

I would however like to go wireless... And I was wondering if anyone would happen to know of a cheap wireless gamepad that I could use? The Xbox ones are $80!

I don't know about the wireless controller, sorry.
I was just wondering why use joy to key.
VP reads joysticks. Maybe it just reads axis, I don't remember.

Try this program that gives you the keycode in the score box. Use the joystick to see if you get direction or axis. I don't have any controllers here and now.

I do have an ipac in there but, I do not want to have a permanent joystick on my lockbar. (I like what you have done, but I want mine to be removable). I only plan on using the joystick for Baby Pac-man, as I am rebuilding my dedicated mame cab at the moment.

I finished wiring my old Logitech gamepad to my HAPP joystick and it works perfectly! I just want to do something wireless.

Here is my wired setup so far....

The roms aren't working for me. I was able to get the home rom to work for 1 game, but when I fired it up again that stopped working too. No display, no sounds. Not sure what is up with that.
