I decided to make a tutorial to activate the background sweep sound for Williams Stellar Wars.

You would go into the ROM adjustments as per the procedure posted and adjust setting 35 to activate the sound.  You have 31 different sounds so try them out to find the one that you like.

Hope this helps.

Ta2686,

Would this be same (or similar) to get William's Disco Fever to use the sweeping sounds ???  It's a similar era 1978 but it is a System 3 machine ???

No.

Disco Fever, being a System 3, used dip switches to make adjustments.  I don't think the table used sweep sounds.  In fact, looking at the manual on IPDB there is not a way to use the dip switches to make adjustments to the sounds.

The only thing I could suggest is to press F6 and see if there is a checkbox to emulate the sound board and see if that will get the sounds you are looking for.  Otherwise I don't know of any other option.
