its funny this topic is coming up... while i fiddle with this silliness, in the background cast youtube on my TV

and as of late its been "home pinball game rooms"  "home pinball arcades" "personal pinball collections"

and wow, what people have in their basements blows me away... unreal amounts of money sent on this crap its nuts...

I've seen two only a few miles from me... craziness....

Funland used to be part of the regular rotation at TOPL, along with Union Station and another arcade further down on Young St who's name escapes me... we also used to go out to this great little panzarotti place around the corner from that last location and I can't remember the name of that place either... age is catching up to me I guess

"Toronto the Good" doesn't like pinball and has been waging war against it for a very long time (along with other forms of fun and entertainment). Latest pinball victim was the retro aracade in Parkdale. Frolic is smart for keeping things under wrap in my opinion private arcade or not.

People with BIG ego's and SMALL d*cks can't stand others enjoying themselves....

Thanks for that link, interesting read. It wasn't clear to me in that article though that location was shut down because of its pinball machines... do you have any more details? Was it's proximity to a school, or that it had more than 10 machines. I have got plans of winning the LottoMax Friday so this is very important information

Don't quote me but I think the owner and his wife simply got frustrated attempting to work with the city, attempting to get a variance, and when it looked like it was going to be approved, the proverbial rug kept getting pulled out from under their feet.  I was a frequent visitor to the Pinball Cafe and spoke to the owners at every opportunity to get the latest details and I was a bit shocked when the doors were suddenly locked and the business closed with little to no notice.

Don't forget to give Cabin Fever over at 1669 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6P 1A6 a look since they have a few pinball machines setup.  Check out their website/Facebook for their hours of operation and any special events they are hosting.  I have been too busy to check it out myself and I hope the doors remain open long enough for me to get over there.

Thanks roar!  That was a pretty damning article... it goes to show you how the authorities (and the media) tarnished the reputation of pinball by picking out and highlighting the undesirable "under belly".  Let someone try and write an article like that today about Canadian casinos and you'd have a war on your hands.

I was in Toronto years ago and the train station had a game room loaded with pin's.
