Hi,

I have access to a genuine WPC Backbox. With the lack of 29/30" screen options, I was thinking possibly of using a 32" Screen. This would mean the backhox would need to be slotted.. which would mean disassembling the backbox . I dont know how easy this would be. I see there are bolts and brackets on the corners, but I also see they are mitire sloted together.. and possibly with wood glue?  So maybe I'm answering my own question.. but maybe its a tough thing?  anyone looked at this before?

thanks for any ideas/help

I would say it's simply not possible. They're not meant to be taken apart.

There are still a ton of 30" screens to be had, you just have to shop around.

yeah, it looks pretty solid :)  I dont want to ruin it.   I see a lot of 30" screens in the US for sale for a decent price.. pickings in Canada, not so good ;-)

May end up with a 29" TV screen as another option.

I could build you a backbox flatpack to custom fit the monitor.

Feel free to give me a call. I already have a few custom widths you could choose from.

I use a 29" myself, and it's a pretty good fit to the standard backbox.  Leaves about 3/4" on each side and 1-1/4" top and bottom.  A 30" would an even better fit, but if 29" is the closest you can find, that'll still work well.

@NoahFentz.  Yeah, I would have had you guys do the Backbox/Cab for me but the $CAD and shipping killed the deal. Never fear though, I will be putting in an order for misc cabinet hardware soon anyway.

@mjr  - refurb 29" are like $CAD180, and BNIB Box Vizio Smart 32" TV are $CAD200.    29 Would work fine, but I have an Idea on how I could use a 32"  :)

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Long overdue update, but I actually managed to get it done after a few beers, some thinking and a mallet during a warm summer's day:    :dblthumb:
