Thx for this awesome table, I have only one issue, the tube gives no color, just white overkill lights, I tried several options in the script but that doesn't change anything

In the next version it will be available to change the global neon intensity by key 3 and 4, this will help to drop the over glow effect on some colours.

Thanks for the fast update, it works fine now! This table is the best in VPX there is, awesome in looks and play! 10/10

Hi,

thx for your work.

sadly the intergrated DMD isn't working. I Use the latetest 10.1 and in the original 2.1 Table it works. I had a look in the script, but find no differences that could cause it.

Greetings

Wolverine

I found myself the solution (checking Options in the original Table). I had to check the Option "Use Script DMC" in the Flashers "DMD" + "DMD1"

Love this version, just a couple of things

In script this should be 0,1 ,2

Const IntegratedDMDType = 0 '1 = Off / 1 Normal / 2 Color.

Also the bumpers sound really tinny, is this by design?

Thanks

Gorgeous table.   Love it!

Is there a B2S backglass that works with this version of the table?

I noticed, probably due to the DMD integration, that the B2S server has been split off onto its own separate object.    But as a result my B2S display isn't lighting up and the animated cannon isn't working.     DOF is working because there are a bunch of new B2SetData events and a separate entry for this in DOF config.    So, I'm wondering if I need a similar "VPX specific" B2S to go with this that uses the new events?   Thanks!

Just wondering, is Cirqus Voltaire the sequel to Theather of Magic? Because there are lots of pinball machines that have sequels like 1978's Bally Lost World which is Paragon.

Nope. Not a sequel. Same manufacturer and voice actress though.

And to a large extent the same team that did the two tables.

Has anyone noticed with the 3.6 version that the translucent ramps aren't actually transparent and totally block the portions of the integrated DMD that it covers?  For example you can't actually see the name of the right-most judge when you drain a ball.  With the 3.5 version you could actually see the complete DMD 'through' the ramps, and it was even 'distorted/dimmed' a little.

Playing this with 10.3.1 in a cabinet if that matters.

Hello, and sorry to unearth this old topic but I think it's best to keep it here. I've been away from VP for a very long time and back to it recently. Didn't realise how I missed it! ;-)

Fantastic recreation. Four thumbs up...!

I had the same issue with the latest VPX release (10.6.2), so I tested that table with all available VPX versions down to the latest beta build (rev 169) since it seems it used to work. Here are the results:

10.0.0 -> no DMD at all (seems to be covered by DMD plastic). Script error (object not collidable).
10.1.0, 10.2.0, 10.2.1 -> DMD completely visible.
10.3.0, 10.3.1, 10.4.0, 10.5.0, 10.6.0, 10.6.1, 10.6.2, 10.7.0 beta (revs 154 and 169) -> part of the DMD hidden by ramp (no transparency).

I also tried to change/test all settings on the material used for the ramp to no avail (at least with VP 10.3.0, didn't test all of them).

It seems that something got changed/broken that prevents the transparency to work starting from version 10.3.0 and up.

I'll post this report to the VP beta thread.

UPDATE:

kiwi answered my post on the VP beta thread. It works when the DMD flashers' modulate option is set to 1.

Greetings,

V.

Sorry to drag this up again.    I'm having the issue in 10.6 - is this option in the script or somewhere else.  Not sure what I should be looking for or where I should be looking.  I've changed a number of  settings in the script but my search for the term 'modulate' comes up empty.   Thx in advance!!!

The modulate option is in the options for the flasher. Highlight the flasher in the editor with the options tab visible.

Well... that would explain why I couldn't fix it in the script     Thx a ton for the hint!   If you hadn't figured it out, I haven't been doing this for very long.  I was going to ask "which flasher" until I realized I could select the ones title "DMD"...   :P   My table editing has been limited to hacking scripts and basic editor options - occasionally moving this around/out of the way on the back glass.

This is a seriously fantastic table.  I still have some tuning to do to get it perfect for me - still tweaking gravity and friction and such.  Its a little choppy at times and I have a good amount of horsepower under the hood, but there's a LOT going on.  Its a BLAST to play - I was always intimidated by it in the arcade and never played it much.   Thx again to you and all who had a hand in it.

I'm having a serious lag issue with the flippers.  This is the only table where I've had this issue.  It's almost like there's a half second lag between the button press and the actual movement of the flippers.  I'm more than willing to believe its a problem with my config.  Just seeing if anyone else has experienced it.  Like I said, I don't have this issue with any other table.

Thanks for any advice!
