I think it turned out ok
Hope you enjoy it

-Adjusted flipper positions
-reduced slingshot force
-fixed the plunger
-adjusted table slope as per request, if you prefer the table faster change the slope back to six

Woot! Thanks for another great release UW!

Not a huge fan of the older tables, but usually once I get to know them I enjoy them. I played this one a good bit on the Williams Collection, so it'll be nice to have a FS VP version to play at home.


While trying to load the table I'm getting a strange error on 'Line 0' that states...

Object Required: 'mSlingBump(...)'

Then the first line of the script, which is commented out anyway turns red and the script window pops up. Not sure what is up with that. Just letting you know in case there is something you can 'fix'.

In line 64 is one ',' too much between 138 and 139. Delete it and it runs.

Thanks TAB, I just saw your post in the other thread and was coming back here to update mine, but you beat me to it! Your so fast and agile! If only you could translate those skills to the football field... hmm...

On a separate note...

I'd like to request permission to do a MOD of this table. I love GORgar and everything, but I'd really like to make a Teri-Gar table. You know that actress from that movie about how mom & dad save the world?!? I'll need someone to redraw the playfield though... and I'll need someone to write the script... and I'll need someone to do the graphics... and somone else to do the table layout....

Let me know ASAP!!!

mod away, anyone can mod any of my tables. I'll fix the code and update the table, thanks tab, I wasn't getting the error on my pc and you found the solution before I woke up.

Sounds like you want to appoint a team to MOD it!

FYI - The community has an unspoken policy against using ROMs from other tables in original concepts. This table idea will be unable to be uploaded and released here.

Sorry for the bad joke about making a table mod, lol. I wasn't sure if anyone would get it or not.

I thought the give away was that I wanted someone else to do the entire table for me, but I suppose that has happened before where someone actually said that and meant it, lol.

Anyway, sorry to disappoint those of you out there that were looking forward to the Teri Garr table, hehehe. It is a horrible idea for a table!

12 years I waited.
Now it's here!
This is spot on!
Behaves exactly like my real Gorgar pinball machine (RIP 1979-1998).
The rules, the realism, the sounds (the heartbeat!!), the lights, the crazy difficulty

I will put this in my real Gorgar cabinet, and I will play this every single day!

The single reason I started exploring Visual Pinball years (and years) ago, was to find a good Gorgar replacement.
Now I have found it.
I will think of you as a GOD from now on UncleWilly
You have no idea, how much this Gorgar FS VP9 table means to me.
It brings back soo much joy!

A humble Thank You to UncleWilly, VP9 team, PinMame team and all you guys in the forums for making this virtual world of pinball ...

What is the problem with your real gorgar machine Boardmaker? Perhaps it can have a replacement board fitted or something to bring it back from the dead?

Gravy: My real Gorgar has some custom electrical wiring under the playfield (made by the previous owner), so it plays without inserting coins (freeplay if you will ) , I don't know
if that is the reason for it not working anymore, it started being less and less reliable, in the end it just "hums" when I turn it on, and starts to smell like smoke, something is fried/getting fried.

So I turn it off after a minute or so.

I have thought of a replacement board, but I dont know if it's the wiring and electronics under the playfield or the stuff inside the backbox, that needs to be changed,

and I did a simple replacement of the batteries, that didn't help.

I have read a lot of do-it-yourself guides to repair a Williams Gorgar, but it's just too time consuming for me.

There's a couple of good firms that restore pinballs back to their original glory, but again it's too expensive, and Im not that happy about sending my Gorgar to someone else, not knowing if I'll get it back
(a little paranoid about not getting it back, though Im sure the restoration firm can be trusted...)

I know it's a "sin" to convert the real Gorgar into a virtual Gorgar - but I just finished building my MAME arcade cabinet (from start to finish it took almost 2 years, because I only worked on it at night and when I had sparetime)
so converting my existing pin cabinet would be a "quick fix" instead of building yet another wood cabinet

Was planning on doing it without destroying any of the original Gorgar cabinet, if that is even possible, maybe with some hidden buttons, so I dont have to drill new holes in the old cabinet.

I still want to bring original Gorgar back to life someday when I can afford it, until then I could just use it as a virtual Gorgar, hoping that I could convert it back to original Gorgar without too much trouble.
