Okay guys, I am very excited to post my very first table since joining the hobby and community...just less than a year ago. Hopefully its not crap. :) This table began as GTXJoe's WIP table that was available on the gigantic test table thread from way back. And with his permission, he is allowing me to continue its development it and post it up for others to enjoy.

The main reason for doing this table is to simply learn VPx and learn how to edit and taylor the tables to my personal liking. With the assistance of many here, I am starting to figure things out. Thanks to all who have assisted me.

The goal here is to make this table as accurate as possible...to the real thing. Many changes have been made based off of internet pics and memory. Many missing features have been added as well. I have also taken a first stab at table physics which again, hopefully are not crap. Some of the physics have been built around a real Bugs Bunny Birthday Ball which is another 1990 Bally pinball, which I actually do own.

I am now trying to figure out lighting so I can add some more bling. Please download it and play if your interested and provide comments and concerns. Again...this is my first table, so dont bust me up too bad. :)

Looking good, never played this table before.  After just a quick play or two on my laptop, the only thing I can offer at the moment is that the plunger is not visible in desktop mode.  i moved the plunger forward, put a z adjust of 15 on it, and moved the plunger cover slightly to the left, and it seemed to work ok for both desktop and Fs.

Sweet. I think this is an underrated table. Can't wait to give it a try.

Thanks and noted.

I do all of my development and playing right on my cab. Obviously I am focused on FS view but I will make sure I dont overlook the desktop table when its done. In fact, when I set the backdrop for all of my cab tables. I move the apron off so I can get a very scale image of the table as to avoid the vertical squashed look.

I also move my plungerball rest block and plunger window up just a bit so they are visible with this more scale view. I can actually grab all of the required objects and move them as a group. Thats why the ball release area looks a bit unconventional on this table.

Looks sharp and plays well. I also play in desktop mode. The only thing I noticed was that the ball felt a little bit floaty. I changed the gravity constant to 1 and the playfield friction to .06. Of course YMMV.

Good job.

Thanks for the support guys.

Just loaded up a new version with added objects and physics tweaks.

I also added the more genuine DD flippers. Only problem is, they are in orange. They are supposed to be in white. I have looked everywhere and can not find a white skin for this primitives. Anyone know where it can be had? Or can someone make me a skin to turn these white?

Latest revision with the first pass at lighting is up. Still some more flasher work to do.

Thanks. I am really enjoying the work. However, I would greatly prefer to stick to improving existing tables and addressing concerns and inaccuracies. I have already come to the conclusion that if I start building ground up tables, the wife is gonna kick my ass and my pincab to the curb. LOL. I already have about 20 hours on this one but that's including a lot of learning curve.

If someone would please, take a look at how the ball goes up the clear ramp. The ball gets a little weird on occasion and acts like it hits an obstruction. I have looked and looked and cant find any objects on that ramp.  Thanks

-Bill

Latest rev is is downloadable in opening post.

This table is really really good! :) Only the flippers seems to have no rubber on them - I mean no ball bouncing at all...

Latest rev is up.

Lots of DT enhancements for the desktop table guys.

More flasher and physics rework.

I am not happy with the side walls on the DT view. These walls are "ShowDT" walls and with the opaqueness, they are not showing as I would like. If any can suggest a remedy for this that will provide nice black walls...I'm all ears.

Still have that weirdness 2/3 up the clear ramp. Sometimes the ball hits an obstruction and on occasion, fly's off the ramp and gets lost. Need help with that one too.

Enjoy.

Bill

I haven't had the ball flying off of the table problem yet.

One of the things I have noticed, and I am certainly not a lighting expert, but it seems like some of the lights like the yellow flasher in the upper right in your screenshot and mine also, the lighting looks more like a fog effect and not like coming from the source. But I don't know enough to know how that should be remedied.

Is it the same link?  I just downloaded and I'm not sure what walls you are trying to work with, and really don't see anything keyed on showdt????

You forgot to set elasticity and friction on the left plastic ramp - and there is some kind of inaccuracy so that the ball makes weird movements where the two ramps parts are fit together. This was not the case in the last version I think.

I think elasticity 0,8 feels more natural on the flippers.
