File Name: TOTAN_1.1.1 shiny mod

File Submitter: flupper1

File Submitted: 17 Jan 2016

File Category: VPX- - /VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): jpsalas
Grizz
ClarkKent
Michael Gallo
Randr
Flupper
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1996
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

based on most excellent original 1.1.0 version of Tales of the Arabian Night by jpsalas, Grizz, ClarkKent, Michael Gallo, Randr. Changes in this mod are:
created new primitive transparent ramps in blender
photoshopped ambient occlusion into playfield image
polished lamp for better reflection

update 1.1.1:
modded the newly released 1.1.1 with all from 1.1.0 shiny mod
additionally polished the genie, it looked scruffy in my first version
some small visual fixes

update 1.1.1.b:
Replaced environment map with a custom made one for this table
Changed material properties for the ramp
If you like the old look better, please use 1.1.1, nothing else is changed
If you want to make it brighter, you only need to change the environment emission scale (lighting tab)
For a tutorial on creating the transparent ramps visit this page:

One of my favorite tables, the visual update is great, but the table is not without some problems.  I think balls get locked when they shouldn't be and the Genie magnet throwing the ball around can be really mean some times, I've had it throw the ball straight down the left out hole/lane.

Dark, I did not change any of the table physics or logic, did you ask JP? I do not know how to fix/change this.
