File Name: Star Trek (Gottlieb 1971)

File Submitter: BorgDog

File Submitted: 13 Jan 2016

File Category: VPX Recreations

Author(s): BorgDog
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1971
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is Gottlieb's 1971 Star Trek, which is an export version of Astro.  This is an add-a-ball game only.

hold down left flipper key for a couple seconds to open the option menu (inspired by loserman76 and gnance)
Many thanks to sliderpoint and StevOz for physics and bug testing!
Thanks to Plumb on vpf for the Astro playfield scan that started this.

directb2s included

FS settings in the table are for my cab which has the playfield in portrait mode, most of you will need to adjust the Backdrop settings.

Here is a starting point for those of you running it the wrong way    :tongue3:    I can't vouch for how well it looks.

Yes it's pinball Jim, but not as we've known it..Captain!

Nice BD and it was a pleasure to give her a spin around the galaxy prior to hand over to this reckless crew. :)

Cheers!

Ah ha, yes I'm trekking well, tried to break it today, got to 10 add a balls twice in this game, never got to try break it with the 11, though I did clock it 4x over. ;)

Also for DT users here are my enlarged table view settings...

Though I also suggest you go to the backdrop view and adjust theses text boxes X and Y settings..

gamov, X=55, Y=20

tiltxt, X=60, Y=164

hstxt, X=875, Y=590

Result....

Nice Score!  I'll try to remember to move those items when I do the next update, sometime :) makes more sense to put them there, ok, just changed them on my copy so it should make the next update.  Left the view where it was though, I prefer my setup  :boxing:

Thanks for the table BD. Any way you can fix the high score? I turned it over to 109450.. The HS shows 9450..guess it would need another digit in the Previous HS window

Thank you BD! I appreciate the HS fix and all your tables that include HS. I know  lot of people don't like to see the HS feature on tables that never had it--for authenticity reasons, but I think HS is one of the most important features. It gives incentive to play again and try that "one more time" to beat it. Thanks again

Looks like you have the same error on Astro as well.  Is this a fairly recent VP10 install? Did you use the minimal or full vp10 installer if on the final?   Are you single screen or on a cabinet?
