File Name: Amazon Hunt VP9 Batch DT

File Submitter: batch

File Submitted: 29 Dec 2015

File Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): Batch
JPSalas (Original Fast Draw table)
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1983
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Ver 1.1 :  Added side image "Bullseye2Target" to upper targets walls (Sw60a / Sw50a  and  Sw52a / Sw62a)

Ver 1.0 : This DT version is a recreation of  Gottlieb's table "Amazon Hunt"

I used  JPSalas' table "Fast Draw VP9" as starting point

Big thanks to him for his permission to use his table and for his help in the Script edition (ball size, music...)

Sorry if my version is not 100 % like the original, I begun by the apron and I did all the rest in accordance with it, so that's the reason why the table is so colorful and dark

Apron, plastics, targets, plunger, most of metallic parts and bumper caps are new

I've been lucky for the lateral plastics, even if I've had some resizing to do, but I've had to redraw the upper one

I've so had to resize and rework the playfield for it to fit with the new table dimensions and to redraw all the "lights" on the four superimposed playfields so I can use JPSalas' lighting effect

Sorry, I forgot to apply the side image "Bullseye2Target" to Walls Sw60a / Sw50a  and  Sw52a / Sw62a

These are images for left and right targets at the top of the table (near left and right bumpers)

Nice job on the graphics :)

I almost forgot how much I liked the Timeshock! ball :)

In this table I experimented with the flippers settings. Both flippers plays almost the same, but the values are completely different, just take a look at the speed, power and power-law. I prefer the values of the left flipper, so if you want you may change those values on the right flipper to be the same as the left one.

And the lights use dropwalls :) That's when VP lights didn't use images at all :) That was the VP9 from 2009 :)

OK, enough of nostalgia :) back to playing :)

Thanks JP, this table has been very long to do, and I've been a little bit afraid when I've understood how you had managed the lights :)

You've been a pioneer and you have succeeded in creating these lights without images and the important thing is that when we play the table these lights fill their part !

This table seems so easy to play than our one aim is to try to beat the highscore, and here is the trap ! :)

Very cool. I never could find decent enough resources for an Amazon Hunt build, I tried! The best I had was this, unfortunately a little low res!
