This looks stunning ohmy.gif , fantastic work on it. As always I would like to know if a 4:3 version is easily done and if so will there be a 4:3 version also.

Keep up the amazing work! and thanks again for this amazing mod, Truly stunning.

Your awesome! I love your night mods, they really add an atmosphere to the tables that I especially like. Unfortunately I don't have a cab to play these FS tables on and have to result to tilting my monitor or suffer a sore neck wink.gif in order to play them. So your generosity in converting your FS table mods to 4:3 versions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again!

Table looks absolutely fantastic! Don't have quite enough Vidmem (512MB) to run it at my monitors native resolution (1680x1050), but I can run it @ 1440x900 @ 16bit and it looks pretty sexy still. I'm just a hard ass about running stuff on my monitor in its native resolution, lol.

It looks fantastic though and I was surprised how nice it looked even w/ my monitor having to scale. I guess they're a lot better at that now than they used to be back in the old days. Keep up the fantastic work you two! I'm sure to lose a ton of time w/ this one!

Ok here you go. Open the script and use the find and search for TZ_Init

You will see a few lines down this code:
RomName = Array(Romset1,Romset2,Romset3,Romset4,Romset5,Romset6,Romset7,Romset8)((tzOption
s And (15*cOptRom))\cOptRom)
.GameName = RomName
.SplashInfoLine = "The Twilight Zone, Bally, 1993" & vbNewLine & "Original Table Design: Gerson Agena / Tom Haukap" & vbNewLine & "Current TZ Evolution: PD / Others"
.HandleKeyboard = False
.ShowTitle = False : .ShowFrame = False : .ShowDMDOnly = True
.HandleMechanics = 1 + 2 ' TZ: Gumball = 1, Clock = 2
.Games(RomName).Settings.Value("samples")=1
.Run

Make it look like this:
RomName = Array(Romset1,Romset2,Romset3,Romset4,Romset5,Romset6,Romset7,Romset8)((tzOption
s And (15*cOptRom))\cOptRom)
.GameName = RomName
.SplashInfoLine = "The Twilight Zone, Bally, 1993" & vbNewLine & "Original Table Design: Gerson Agena / Tom Haukap" & vbNewLine & "Current TZ Evolution: PD / Others"
.HandleKeyboard = False
.ShowTitle = False : .ShowFrame = False : .ShowDMDOnly = True
.HandleMechanics = 1 + 2 ' TZ: Gumball = 1, Clock = 2
.Games(RomName).Settings.Value("samples")=1
.Games(RomName).Settings.Value("rol")=1
.Run

The only change is the addition of this line
.Games(RomName).Settings.Value("rol")=1
If that doesn't rotate the dmd the correct way change rol to ror

Hope that does what you need it to do

Runs perfect on TZ! What can I say... Worship.gif Worship.gif Worship.gif

I tried in other FS tables like xenon, flintstones, totan, matahari, Fathon and some others but I didn't have success. Maybe have to change the sentence in the script for a specific table think.gif or I put the line in a wrong place... I don't know... sad.gif
I only have one monitor and all 16:9 tables are like this in full screen. The dmd remain in vertical. Now, except TZ! wink.gif

Anyway, I want to thank for your work and help. tup.gif
Best regards!
Marcelo

You can also go into your registry and change the 'rol' value to 1. The entries are by the name of the rom zip file. There are a bunch of other things in there you can change although I don't recommend you do that!

The keys are under...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER//Software//Freeware//Visual PinMame// (Name of Rom)

Make sure and change the 'Decimal' Value. Not Hexadecimal

This is in Windows XP, not sure bought Vista or Win7. You can search by the name of the rom zip file though, but, you have to run the table once first before the entries are written into the registry.

You should NOT mess with your registry if you don't understand what you are doing. If you change other entries or delete them you can cause irreparable damage to your OS. Not VPM entries, but other entries important to your OS function.

In reality though it's not that big of a deal if you are careful!

hey timbo,
I put your credit for the wheel image in the hpf release thread, whenever bill gets around to posting it.

sorry for the people who have to scale the table for it to play. the night mods take a lot of textures, the rocket ship alone has 11 textures to reflect the gi states and the blinking and flash.
I try to combine as many as possible to make it playable for everyone but there is only so much I can do.

As always a scholar and a gentleman! It actually looks great scaled, the only downside of scaling it is that I can't run it via hyperpin, but, that is a small price to pay for some fantastic TZ night mod action! Pretty soon we'll all have 1GB cards anyway, at least if you keep up these fantastic releases! Also much thanks to Groni for the table on which this mod is based and the permission for the night mod! We love you Groni!!!

This is not a criticism, merely an observation. I have and still play PacDude's Twilight Zone for VP8, and it has an option with which one can enable "Gumball" mode with different colored pinballs. This does not seem to be a selectable option with the newer VP9 versions. Is this a bug or limitation in the VP9 code or is it perhaps just not implemented due to time constraints? I would think the colored pinballs in the NightMod tables would add yet another level of challenge since even in PacDude's Twilight Zone it was sometimes difficult to keep track of the balls due to their different colors during some of the more intense multiball moments.

Best Regards,
Todd

I'm not really sure if that option is available in the options, I simply added the gi lighting. if the option is available in the f6 menu you could simple change the steel ball textures with colored ball textures. I know there is a random ball image option.

I simply did not add the Option, cause I donīt like those modded Features so much. I just added the extra Balls in the Gumball Machine, a nice Backwall and in the new Update, there will be the white Prototype Clock Image. All other Parts I just wanted to stay most original like they are. There will be also a Factory Version of that table coming out. And a Gumball mod is nothing but an modding feature, so i have left it away.
