I installed this today and tried to get it running. Just to be sure I installed everything from scratch.

I got the skeleton P-ROC running attract mode so that works.

I got VP10 working and loaded vpinmame.

I can load your table but as soon as I launch it I get a vpinmame error. (Cant load vpinmame. Activex component cant create object), vpinmame required, blah blah blah.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the VPROC controller. Where do you install that?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like its a problem registering VPCom

c:\P-ROC\tools>python register_vpcom.py

register_vpcom.py:185:Syntax warning import only allowed at module level

File "register_vpcom.py" line 63 in module

from win32.com.server.exception import COM Excepoton

No modyle named win32com.server.exception

I have admin rights and am running windows 7 32 bit.

Ok. Which installer did you use? Micheal's newer one click?

This may have been left out of the installation.

http://sourceforge.n...in32/Build 219/

It should be one of these builds you need.

FWIW I used Michaels latest one click installer (proc_env_installer).

OK, I just ran the file and it registered VPROC.Controller. Will check it out shortly!

ok, a different error: something about the win32 server policy

file c:\p-roc\tools\register_vpcom.py line 196 in RUn

vp_game_map = yaml.load (open(vp_game_map_file,'r'))

IOError: Error 13 Permission denied: "/".

I verified the vp_game_map_file is in the P-ROC shared folder.

according to the skeletonprocvisualpinball10-master\config.yaml: I have:

vp_game_map_file: \P-ROC\shared\vp_game_map.yaml in the config.yaml

Do I even need the VP game map for creating a custom game?

I put the vp_game_map.yaml in the c:\P-ROC\shared\config\ folder and set the destination in the config.yaml to this location and I still get the error.

If I run the SkeletonProc sample table I get this error.

I looked in the contents of the vp_game_map.yaml file and don't see your Tablename there in the file (SkeletonProc). Should it be an entry?

I am able to run vp991 and vp10 tables with vpinmame so the PC is setup properly. Just running into this error when trying to run the SkeletonProc table.

Also, I am able to run the HD pyproc game window and see the attract mode and start a game in the window, so I am very close to getting this to work.

I would love to use something like this for an original table, but until the additional installation gets easier, I think that's the biggest thing hampering this from becoming a complete solution for original table authors.  I personally feel getting XDMD/UltraDMD installed to be a fairly simple process, but lots of people have had a very hard time with that.  I personally don't mind digging in to the system and getting things set up, but if hardly anyone else will go through that trouble, then I'm less inclined to design games using it.

I believe this would really take off if you could make it easily installable so that non authors could actually play the game.

Well I tried your last suggestion and the table errors at a new place when I start it up. Again pyproc works, I can get the game window started but the vproc controller is still not talking properly to the vpgame map. Here is the latest error.

I load VP10 and load your game (SkeletonProc)

c:\P-ROC\register_vpcom.py import config

No module named config.

The only additional thing I did was to move your table to C:\P-ROC\games\SkeletonVP10 to match your vp game map yaml.

Maybe I have to re-register the vpcom?

ok, I reregistered the vpcom and now get a Runtime Error

c:\P-ROC\Visual Pinball\vpinballx.exe

R6034 an application has made an attempt to load the c runtime library incorrectly.

Sorry, just trying to make this work and report back my install issues. Thanks for the help.
