Hello all! I've been on a bit of a Data East craze lately. Maverick should be released very soon and then I started modding TMNT and eventually ended up redoing almost the whole table entirely. Then, I found out someone had a nice Robocop playfield so I decided to try that one. So here are some WIPs screenshots:

I re-scripted most of it, but it's based on the previous VP table so I would still call it a mod. It's converted to PM5, has primitives for lots of elements, has an optional Apron swap. Some of the artwork is from the previous table because I really couldn't find much better. But, I did end up finding a couple of very nice playfield pics so I pieced them together. So the playfield is new. This one should be good to go pretty soon. Was hoping to get some primitives of the turtle toys, but that's really only a nice to have. The only one that animates is Mikey sitting on the pop bumper. I have it animated (up/down) with ramps.

Robocop is playable, and also in PM5. I did this build completely backwards, by my methods, as I didn't have a playfield image to begin with. Instead I scripted everything and played lights, flashers, wall,s etc. based on the blueprint from the manual, which in my experience never quite matches up to the playfield. I threw in the playfield image from the current VP tabled (I think by JP if I recall) just for reference. As you can see, nothing really lines up. I am waiting for someone who has a NOS playfield of Robocop and some NOS plastics to scan them and send them my way. Then I can make it look a little nicer. This was my first attempt at doing primitives for the plastics, thanks to Fren's tutorial, which was very helpful! It really isn't that bad and makes for much more freedom when moving things around. The ramp decals on this one are pretty complex so I'm hoping get some nice pics of the decals. I started trying to follow one of the links that Dark provided for building ramps in blender....I think I need help ![]()
