File Name: MEDIEVAL MADNESS (Custom Physic)

File Submitter: pincade

File Submitted: 27 May 2015

File Category: Future Pinball

Author(s): Francisco666
Monnezzas
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1997
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

This table has a Custom Physic and is totally unplayable without BAM!!

If you don't know BAM or have problem with this table, check the FP & BAM Definitive Guide

Inside the zip you can find 2 versions of the same table,(1 for Desktop and 1 for Cabinet) there's no difference in the 2 versions but the one for cabinet is without HUD dmd and useless Models and Texture for a Cabinet

UNZIP THE ARCHIVE IN THE ROOT OF YOUR FUTURE PINBALL FOLDER (e.g. C:\Games\) it will ask for overwirte folders but it'll not overwrite your files

This is the first SS modern table with Custom Physic.

Physic has been tweaked to match the real table as much as possible.

Graphic makes intensive use of BAM features, almost every texture (included room's wall and floor) has a specular and height map

PREVIEW VIDEO (watch it @720p60 or 1080p60) :

I can't find the folder where FP saves its screenshots.
I shot at the top right kickerhole, the ball jumped over it and got stuck behind it. The table actually went into "looking for missing ball" mode. When a second ball was ejected from that very kicker, the first ball was shot out also, but the script couldn't handle it.
Edit: happened two times now.

Thanks Pincade!

I have all the sounds including voices, but most of the time the background music is off. It starts at the beginning of the game but then stops shortly thereafter. It comes in with multi-ball but stops when MB is over.

Which version did you base yours on? It looks like the ZED physics version, but that one has improved DMD simulation with music and catapult corrected etc.?!

Well. it's based on both versions but 80% is from zed, maybe some mistakes in the script make the music stop in some situation.I'm waiting for more feedback to make a speed-updated 2.1 version.

In the meantime...thanx to all and keep on playing as it is. Gameplay will remain the same

:otvclap:

if you use BAM, by pressing Stamp you'll find screenshots on ...Future Pinball/BAM/ Folder

Did you destroyed the Castle and the ball stucked on the left upper kicker?

Impressive how nice it plays considering how broken FP physics is, BAM, ZED, etc or not.

Unfortunately table seems to be bugged even if issues are minor: I played 3 games and in EVERY game music suddenly stopped playing, and in last game multiball started out of the blue... Hope you will fix this. Other then that: kudos.

For FP it's really impressive. I only have the problem that the flippers are moving really slow, like in slow motion. No idea why...

"both" versions?
Your table sounds like it plays a very long mp3 for the music. The zed table plays the rom music.

You made a graphic and physics mod. How much about the basic table you want to change?

if you use BAM, by pressing Stamp you'll find screenshots on ...Future Pinball/BAM/ Folder

Of course...
BTW: on english keyboards it's called Print. ;)

Did you destroyed the Castle and the ball stucked on the left upper kicker?

No, not the castle, sorry. It's the merlin kicker. BTW: if you want to change the table itself: where's the merlin plastic? :)
And another BTW: the merlin kicker worked better on the zed table. If the ball misses the kicker, the bumper behind it shot it back on the kicker.

ClarkKent could you compare the flipper movement with my video? if your is slower you have a config problem.

Happened only one time? do you remember exactly what you did just before the multiball started?

However, I'm finishing just now a faster patch-release to solve music problem..stay tuned
