Hey guys,

Now that i'm feeling more comfortable with the workingsarrow-10x10.png of of VP9 and Photoshop.

i bring you a sneak peak into my very first entry in recreating one of the top 100 tables listed on IPDB.

Lord of the Rings, originally by jpsalas!

The 2nd part of the Realism Series

i love this table, and as such welcome any versions of it.  Screens look great.

Be aware though that "we have top men working on it right now".....      another version is being prepared by Groni  (I think), and also several nice versions already exist.  You may want to put your energy towards a table which has received less attention so far.

But i am looking forward t seeing what you can do with it.

The photorealstic table would be completely different to the existing table(s) anyway so i think this doesn't matter :P

Looking good so far! Very interesting approach you take with your tables!

Also realize that VP is moving away from fixed perspective, image based table making.  3D and changeable viewpoints are all the rage now....

Thanks man! going to give it my best, i'm using a last version worked on by Groni from 2009. Really fantastic table, it's comes with extra sound samples and many more refinements.

These guys did a fabulous job with the table, i'm only going to updating all the graphics. Let's see how it goes, this is no easy task :)

Thanks a lot Talantyyr!! You just gave me 5 cups of coffee worth of inspiration :)

i'm going to savor this one, nice!

Yeah, Unity 3D and such is a whole different playground, i won't be much help there myself.

i have a good eye, and had basic art training, but programming and heavy technical stuff is where i fall short.

But there is a way for me to turn these into FS without too much trouble, from what i can see.

Pictures looks great.

Thank-you Bolt!

I cannot wait to see the playable version!   This table needed a makeover-- JP's version was great but lighting effects and playfield scans could have been better (by today's standards)   Keep up the good work!!

I really like the photo-tables (for desktop at least). They're not angle independent, but they have a bit of realism to them that re-draws miss (not knocking re-draws & new tables, they are spectacular). Good work baloo42.

Thanks for your great insight man! Yeah, not taking anything away from other authors.

Everyone's work is great! and each one put together in such an individual and creative way.

i especially admire those who push the constructs of these boards to greater heights. Nothing i could ever imagine achieving myself.

Nice one Shooby-Doo  :drinks:

It's cool to have choices and great ideas. Great things comes from great ideas. So I welcome anything any author want to try. Keep up the good work, you are good with PS.

Ghee, for this one shawn, it will be hard. but i will try my very best though. i want to bring all 3 of the tables i have worked on to FS.

This is my first time working on a board which is three layers deep, it's very tricky stuff. Like a big E.C. Escher puzzle :)
