File Name: OXO (Williams 1973) (directb2s)(VP990 and PhysMod5)

File Submitter: freneticamnesic

File Submitted: 28 Dec 2014

File Category: VP 9.x B2S Cabinet Tables (B2S)

Author(s): freneticamnesic (build)
icpjuggla (build)
PinballPerson (script)
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1973
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

It's been a long time coming

OXO by Williams, 1973

Script by Leon (PinballPerson) - thanks for your VP8 table, without which this table would have been impossible for me

Redraw by vecto (I think?) from here http://arcarc.xmissi...ball/OXO.1.html

DOF by arngrim

Sticky note high-score by gtxjoe

Physmod5 and VP990 available for download, I recommend the PM5 version. I have not spent much time on the VP990 release.

This is my "reflection mod" technique, adapted from Rascal's application on "Triple Strike", by Rawwwd

Wheel image and b2s included in the download

As with all of my releases, full permission to mod, just give credit to the other authors if you use their resources (script)

Agree....plays and looks AWESOME! :D

Just one thing about the highscore.....i got 199,790 but the first digit is missing, so it only shows 99,790.

Great Table Fren, Thank you for sharing and making a PM5 version, plays superb.

I know its artistic and that :

But, is there any chance of doing a reflections free mod of this table or is there a way i can modify to loose the reflections, they are putting me off playing this great table, feels like i'm playing an FP table ( shivers ) or i suddenly need to wear glasses cause i'm seeing double lol

I guess so but that sounds boring. Do you know how to import textures? I'll upload a playfield image later today that is solid (non transparent) and explain how to swap it (boooooring)

@Zany - How in the world did you score almost 200,000 on this, let alone break 100,000 :)

The script rolls the score over at 100,000.  Open the script and search for 99999 and change it to 999999

gtxjoe....haha...i dont know...i just played it! :D
It is pretty easy to get extraballs, and then continue to shot those saucers when they are lit...gives you pretty much points. Also when the middle bumper is lit, it gives you 1000 everytime it is hit.

Ok...thanx for the info, i'll check/change the script! :D

Should these lines say if currpl=1 then k1001.text="1,000,000"

instead of

Should these lines say if currpl=1 then k1001.text="100,000"

?

You are right, but that text display is not used in the FS version, so it's not necessary.  This version of the Post-it only supports up to 999,999 anyways

New version uploading:

  • Fixed high score display (thanks zany and gtxjoe)
  • Added script options to disable reflections
  • Decreased light intensity near top lanes
  • Fixed extra ball for Player 1 (every game) (thanks Rascal)

Note: turning off reflections does not increase performance

Open the script to see lines 49 and 50 for new options
