This is Devil's Dare by Gottlieb, Full Screen edition.

Akiles asked me to recreate this pin using images, his friend Francisco666 used for his FP table. Francisco did a great job redrawing the complete playfield and the plastics set.
I reworked the playfield image and plastics a bit, where it was necessary for VPin (e.g. the holes for rollover wires and the drop targets have been added).

Thanks go to Fuzzel for providing the lightmap images for the inserts, Kodiac for the flipper primitive routine, to Inkochnito for the DIP switch settings code and to destruk, who put the backglass light numbers into his VP8 table.

If You want to have the Match feature enabled, set the Game Mode property within the DIP switch settings (F6) to "replay". Otherwise it will be skipped despite Your switch 26 settings.

The playfield brightness can now be adjusted within the global settings. Teppotee mentioned a possible solution sometime in the past and here it is. You will loose table shadows, though. It is only visible, if the light level is quite high. For that reason, I provided the option to have the normal playfield image active with shadows with DimPlayfield set to 255. In addition, You can assign any of the 3 playfield images (normal, light, dark) to the wall AltPF.

Have fun and please use the support topic to post any findings and suggestions.

Hi,

thank You for Your posts. One more thing, that should be mentioned is, that the Ball Saver is triggered manually by the left MagnaSave key.

Regards

Michael

This was a game that operators had a hard time putting on location as there were so many complaints on the theme by parents.  It is one of the more fun system 80 games and looks great.  It was a fairly low run game.  It is nice to see all the system 80 games as many had fantastic artwork in the day.

Thanks for the "one moe thing". I kept seeing the ball drain when the ball saver light was on. Just thought it was broken

ok DOF is almost, ready, i have to mod the script because of switches shared by multiple objects

Michael, these sounds can be ignored by soundfx method because they are not dof emulated

bump

soloff of the spinners

also i have an issue with the inlanes and outlanes

i map these switches in the DOF configuration W42, W43, W44 for example, they are not firing in DOF, and i don't see why, can you check if there's something wrong on your script or the objects, something that i can't see?

DOF is not in fault, the rest of the things are working great

sub LeftOutlane_hit:Controller.Switch(42)=1:P_LeftOutLane.TransZ=-10:PlaySound "Gate2",0,-0.18,0.1,0.1:End Sub '42

sub LeftOutlane_unhit:Controller.Switch(42)=0:LeftOutlane.Timerenabled=True:End Sub
