File Name: Truck Stop (Bally 1988) (VP9.9 PM5 FS)

File Submitter: Sindbad

File Submitted: 07 Oct 2014

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Sindbad
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1988
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Truck Stop by Bally 1988

This is the FS version of Truck Stop. This table has been developed on VP 9.9 physmod and is therefore only playable on a VP 9.9 physmod software. This version includes day- and night-mode which can be switched via the option menu. I was unsure which flipper sounds I should use, so I implemented two different sounds. You can choose your favorite in the option menu. If you don't like the halo effect, you can disable it also in the option menu. I developed the table with the ROM "trucksp3", I didn't test any other roms. For those who prefer a non-inclination view I suggest the following settings:

Inclination 0
Field of View 30
Layback 80
XY Rotation 270
X Scale 1,22
Y Scale 2,03
Z Scale 1
X Offset -360
Y Offset 115
Z Offset 0

A great thanks to my hard-working test-crew: Arngrim, Dboyrecords, Freneticamnesic, Nemo, Shadowsclassic, The Loafer, Zany
Also thanks to:
Arngrim: DOF definitions
JPSalas: Lamp routines, flash routines, some sounds
Koadic: Plunger code and images
Noah: nudging routines
Uncle Willy: primitives and templates for posts, slingshots
Dark: prmitives
Zany: primitives and images
Freneticamnesic: primitives
The VP development team for the awesome software

The table still contains some (disabled) debug routines, this makes it easier for me to act on any upcoming problems (I hope, I'll don't need them). The desktop version will follow in a few days.

Ah, I forgot: No permission required to mod, enhance, or maybe delete, you can use all resources which came from me for whatever...

Congrats on the release, it's a gem!

Folks: I had never tried this table in real life and am finding it to be quite addictive and in its own way, very original compared to others of the same era. The physmod use is quite excellent as well. IMHO Sindbad has gone the extra mile in providing options such as the day/night modes being easily selectable, thus allowing for the different preferences of the various pinfans.

Well done Sindbad!

I never even heard of this table, let alone play it. What a nice job you did on it! Thank you!

I am not seeing how to activate the db2s.

Chapeau!

Viele Grüße aus Hildesheim sendet

Peter

Mopebe,

are you using the physmod version? The problem you describe is typical for a non-physmod version.

Great table, although I suspect this recreation may be a little too easy since I was able to make 5.6 million and two replays on my second try and I have never seen this one before :)

But based on what mopebe wrote, the real table is probably also like this.

Thank you.
