I have converted many of my tables from uvp back glasses to b2b.

Some of ten tables now have volume issues. If I switch back of the to the uvp version the volume returns.

Below is a list of the tables I converted
Big guns
Big town
Black knight 2000
Black knight
Black rose
Bow and arrow
Buck Rogers
Checkpoint
Comet
Creature from the black lagoon
Demolition man
Dr dude
Dracula
Faeton
Fun house
Genesis
Gillian's island
Golden cue
Golden eye
Kings of steel
Laser cue
Laser war
Magic castle

Need more info to help, can you be more specific about these "volume issues"?

Try the load comet (Williams 1985).vpt an change the the controller line to launch uvp

You get sound

Now switch to b2s version an launch and you get no sound
Same is true for faeton
Same is true for faeton....

Next I tried running vpinball920 instead of vpinball921 and my sound returned for b2s back glasses.

Gonna roll back to 920 till this is fixed

I now use exclusively vp9 dx9 tech beta and have not come across this issue. I will see if I can find the time and test and get back to you. If I have not done so by tomorrow night, pm me.

Ok, tried Comet and I can tell you it works fine with VP9 DX9 tech beta 10 and the sound works great.  Glad you brought this up, I was still running UVP on that one and now my toys work because I installed the db2s  :)

Took the time to download the latest 9.2.1 rev 932 and the sound works fine.

I converted all my UVP tables over to DB2S and I have not had any sound issues at all.

The only negative I ever had with B2S was on Blackrose.  For some reason BR would not run if I was using any B2S on it.  However this problem was fixed when I tried it with test7 of DX9.

I can't think of an reason that would make your volume go down.  Is that a list of tables you converted or a list of those converted that have sound problems?

Black Rose has really been challenging for the novice.  I finally got Black Rose-LH-FS-01-05-2012-HighRes.vpt to run and it looks great.  I tried the UVP backglass but as with all my UVP backglasses, it won't exit with the table even though I have checked and rechecked the script for any typo or  error.

I loaded the direct.b2s backglass, changed the script as I have on all other tables, and Black Rose will not load.  I get the VPinMAME errors when I set the Controller to B2S.Server.

I have no idea what test7 of DX9 is, so could you enlighten me or help in any way?  Playing Black Rose isn't quite the same without a backglass.  I have the real pinball machine, but it is a maintenance nightmare.

Hello everyone:

Does anyone know the screen resolutions for the Comet Pinball game. I guessed what they were from a tutorial on this website. I have 1920, 1080, 1280, 1024, 2, 1280, 0, 600, 200, 0, 0 and 0. Just in case you don't know what the fields are here they are: Playfield Width, Playfield Height, Backglass Display, Backglass Width, Backglass Height, Backglass X Position, Backglass Y Position, LED Display Width, LED Display Height, LED Display X Offset and LED Display Y Offset. The Y

-FLIP (LED Display) is of course at the bottom. If your game board is sideways, checking this box may correct this problem.

P.S. That is how the numbers are displayed in the screen resolution file, not when I open up the B2S setup file.

if you trying to make a new B2S... and have an image that is around 2048 or so.... doesn't matter what direction..... the b2s editor will not care what size image you put in there... like i said 2048 is a good reasonable res for modern monitors and TV's

as for the screenres file you put what your monitor is set at... so if you have 1920x1080 res on your monitor thats the setting you put in the screenres file... that file tells the b2s server to make the BG image that res, on your screen....  again no matter what size it is, it willup scale if its small, and down scale if its big....
