File Name: Star Wars Trilogy VP915
File Submitter: jpsalas
File Submitted: 10 Feb 2013
File Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations
Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Sega
Year: 1997
Permission to MOD?: No

Based on the Sega table from 1997.
Thanks to:
- Akiles for taking pictures of the real machine
- Grizz for making the playfield and cleaning up the plastics. And also for his flashers.
- ArcadeMaximus for the X-Wing 3D model
- Thank to Magnox, Subzero and wtiger for the old table.
- And of course toxie & koadic for their work optimizing the VP9

This table needs VP915 which is not released yet, this means you need the latest VP914 rev 434 or newer (get it from koadic signature). This because the table uses big images and many primitives and in this VP version those primitives are very much optimized (the table won't even load in an older VP!)

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Great work JP love the table.

I have a problem when I lite LUKE and you load the cannon to shoot out of x-wing, it does not fire.

Shooting for mutiball works.

Once again great table, and huge fan of your work.

weird, I was able to shoot this time after lighting LUKE but had trouble shooting for mutiball.

I think it is just my system acting goofy.  :throw:

Thank you JP, great table :otvclap: .

Unfortunately it stutters a lot. I've noticed the newer the VP version (rev. 439) the more it stutters. I don't know wich video settings in VP Editor are the best to play without stutter.

I use Win 7 Ultimate 64, Nvidia GTX 560TI, 8 GB RAM and Phenom II x4 955 @ 3400 MHz. For solutions ,thanks in advance.

Greetings :)

Hi Hanson, I have almost the same system as you.

Win 7 64, Nvidia GTX 560TI, 4 GB RAM and Intel i5 750 @ 3600 MHz, and the game runs in 1920x1080 without stutters.

Maybe it helps to use an older version of VP and NVidia.

I use the VPinball915_rev434.exe and an old good the Nvidia driver 306.97.

regards

I love the table. I played round about 40 games but I have problems with the XWing fire button:

If I want to fire the ball at lukes mission with the return key, the shot will not respond until after the 2-3 times press the Return key.

My return Key works, only with this table I have problems.

Is there a special button to fire with the XWing?

Yes, bolt, there is only one bug left (as I know), the X-Wing cannon use to fire once and for the next time it needs to run back and forth. I'm looking into this issue. The fire button is the normal plunger key (return key).

Updated the table to version 1.0.1
-Tried to fix the X-Wing cannon. It seems to be shooting better now.
- increased the elasticity of the metals

So not much of an update. But I feel the X-Wing shoots better now. Before it use to ignore the fire button. But now seems better, but still sometimes it just ignores the button until it has moved to the end and back. But a little improvement is better than nothing :)

Thank you for the update JP.

I tested three games the Mission " Luke"  but the fire trigger still responds too late(2-3 times hit return key).

I was afraid of that. It seemed to work better than before but still not perfect. I won't be home next week, but when I come back I'll keep experimenting with some values and I'll see if I can get it to shoot better.
