Spiderman 2011 vp9.1.X

Version: 2011
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Bob5453,

Description:
Add-a-ball table with great Spidey music and table sounds. This version is for VP9.1.X only. Place the 4 mp3 files in your "Music" folder, which should be in your VP folder. Includes the Spider-man theme song by the Ramones
_

Update is Angle Independent, it can be easily changed to a 4x3 table by changing the xScale option on the Backdrop to "2". Update includes new posts, new flipper settings, new game settings, Layback, new backdrop.
_

You need to have the Font called Digital Readout in your Font folder to get the message display on the right side of the backdrop to display properly. If you don't have it installed, I uploaded it as an attachment to the Release thread in the 5th reply of the thread. To get to that thread, just click on the "Support Topic" under the screenshot at the top left of this page.

Thanks for the nice comments.

This is for VP9 only and if you don't use VP9, there is always the 2008vp version at Pinball Nirvana.

I have a cheap Radeon X600 series graphics card with 256mb of memory and this table displays correctly in VP9 and plays just the way I wanted it to play.

Some things that I had to adjust or change for this "VP9 only" version were the triggers, make the Collect Bonus kicker stronger, make the sides of the bumpers transparent, change the ridiculous VP9 nudging system, made changes to the TILT sensitivity and added a timer, made some changes to the spinner area and probably a few more things I can't think of at this moment.

I just noticed that the table uses a special Font called Digital Readout for the right side display, I'll include it here as an attachment if you don't have it already installed, the left Score display is a graphic reelimage, so that will display naturally properly.

Just played this table again and noticed that when you lock a ball in the bottom hole it also counts as a ball drain. I locked a ball on the last ball even and the game ended. I am not sure of the top lock. I am also using VP 9.0.3

I just played the table and it worked fine for me, maybe someone else could try it. The only time a ball is subtracted from the ball count in the script is when you hit the ball count trigger located under the apron or if you press the HOME key to buy a ball for 100,000 points. If the ball is locked, it does create a new ball to be launched to the playfield, but this wouldn't lose a ball or end the game.

**spiderman vp9FS 2010a.
in the script window, dropped the upper left objects submenu.
lower L/R flippers worked fine in the objects menu.
(upperleftflipper) in the submenu does not work.
default was speed 0.07, strength 3.
tried lowering the "upperleftflipper" speed and strength in the objects submenu.
first attempt was 0.05 and 1.5.
no change.
then 0.05 and 1.
no change.
.05 speed and 0.5 strength
no change.
dropped speed and strength on 0/0.
dont work. no change.

extracted a new copy from the zipped folder.
same.
"upperleftflipper" changes dont work in the script window upper left objects submenu.
wasup?

This isn't the FS table thread, but....

Chas, I looked and the flipper settings are scripted in this table. You would need to delete those scripted settings or change them in the script. The script is the actual script, not the Options settings.
