Prepare thyselves smile.gif For a boatload of NOS playfield scans. You have already seen at least one from Neo, you'll see a lot more from one of the two of us soon.

"Thyselves" does not exist. It should be yourselves, or possibly
thyself, if you were addressing a single person and wanted
to be very informal.

Ye Olde Post wouldn't sound archaic enough without the thyselves. wink.gif

Checking the previous uploads, I see that Neo has posted more than one of the collective in the past. I added one more to the mix.

Yes, & I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing everything before it went down. However, I remember roughly what all was there. Mainly the more popular titles, & so if I'm looking for plastics for one of those games I know they are out there, I got a couple people I can send an email too & they can probably turn them up for me. You know, I just had a thought, we might have a couple members here who have all that content.
However I usually won't ask in public for scans since there is a reason balls of steel was taken down. Cuz the license holders didn't like that ppl made their own plastics. OK, fine, then how about making some for us to buy! However hasn't the WMS/BLY license switched hands since BOS went down? I feel like yes, but not sure if that has changed anything.

Your close. NOS means New Old stock in the pinball world. Means it's original new parts.

Ok, I just uploaded a bunch of NOS playfields

Atlantis
Al's garage band (plumb did this one and I forgot he did, so now 2 are on here sad.gif)
Victory
Lord of the rings
Simpsons party pinball
Elvis
Raven
Gold wings
Space Station
Tommy

More are on the way, but it takes awhile to get these scanned in and pieced together as one big file. If someone wants to buy me one of those full scanners like the museums have that can scan in large format items, i'll scan in anything you want. I was pricing them and seems the cheaper ones were $100,000.oo. Little out of my price range. If you know of a high end scanner that can do full playfields in one chunk and $5000.00 or under, that would be great.

I would think at least a couple of our users with cabs or a bunch of real pins must obviously have some disposable income! Anyone? Don't all jump at once! It sure would be worth it though for somebody in the community to have access to one of these scanners & PF's.
I feel like there are a few guys in the hobby that do have access to both those things. John Greatwich from RGP? Only problem is that these guys might not want anything to do with VP, but the way tables are improving these days we might suck in some more guys from the hobby. Back in the VP6 days, even VP8... I understood the opinions on VP. But those aren't so valid anymore.
Anyhow, don't print shops often have these industrial scanners? I would if they could do them in 1 pass for you & how much it would cost.

even the bigger shops don't have the ones that can do full playfield sizes. I'm looking into alternatives. For me, doing 15 scans of a playfield in 8 1/2 X 11 size chunks works fine for what I need it for. It would be handier and easier to do it all in one hi rez scan that can do 150 or 300 dpi or higher. Plus it would be easier to get playfields ready for you guys too. Btw, I have a couple of NOS plastics sets. I'll try and get those scanned in for you guys eventually as well.

Well there you go! Round 1 (or perhaps 2) considering the initial salvo in April. smile.gif

I know for a fact that John G doesn't have access to a cruise scanner. Most print shops do not have cruise scanners, unfortunately. The places that do have them usually charge ~$40 for a 150-300 DPI full scan which I suppose isn't bad considering the outlay for the equipment in the first place. Neo or I can scan things if people can get the material to and from us, or if they are close enough to us for us to make a reasonable drive to and from the owners, or perhaps half way to and from the owners if they are farther away. wink.gif

Don't touch that dial as there will be more to come. smile.gif

If you want a Cruze scan done, post a thread on RGP stating your location. I am certain you will have someone let you know where the closest Cruze scanner is.
If anyone is interested, I do have a full size, 300ppi scan of Flash I am working off of for my CPR redraw.
