No lag here. Maybe if you tell us your hardware/OS we can help you sort out the problem.
This was tested on dual core e5800 (@3.2ghz) and e6800, which are several years old.

I also would like to see a desktop version of this. Or at least know if we should expect one.

i7-2.8Ghz, Vista 64 with 8GB DDR3 ram, GTX260 - lags out too much to be playable for me on this desktop pc.
What I did then, was I created a new collection in collection manager, edited the collection, and added everything that is named 'ramp'.
Then I selected "collection1" to select all the ramps in the collection, changed the Ramp Type to "RampTypeFlat", and clicked the circle radio button for "Solid"

When adding everything into the new collection, do not add RampDrop1 and RampDrop2.

This change makes it playable - I'll need to go back and change the few 'real ramps' to wire or alpha later so it looks as it should.
I wouldn't think 117 alpha ramps would kill the framerate so much, but then I don't want to mess with the performance slider so I leave it at maximum there too, in video options.

BTW - I've played the real machine and the balls should move around the playfield a lot faster than this.

EDIT: Just wanted to pass on that i just tried this in the cab and it is unplayable unfortunately..... I think what Destruk suggests with the ramps is needed!! Specs in sig if needed... Cheers.

Same here, unfortunately. Lags so bad, it's impossible to play.

I have 2 550ti nvidia cards, with an AMD quad core.

The playfield was nice, though. A definite upgrade from previous versions.

Running with an AMD quad as well and a GTX 560 , unfortunately the ball is "lost in Space" Playfield is definitely prettier! Thanks

Not sure why everyone is having lag with this table, I am not seeing it.
I removed some more unused lamps, maybe that will help you.

Anyway, I was able to adjust physics on all posts, slings, walls to add a more frentic gameplay like the video like you provided.
Lost in Space VP912 v1.01 FS has been uploaded.

Also the 5-flasher config is complete for those using the LEDWIZ and flashers on their cabinet.
You can generate the ledcontrol.ini at pixelmagics site.

Just changing all the '4 wire' ramps from alpha to solid bumped my fps from 6 to 120 and made it mostly playable

i7 2.8ghz with 8 gigs of ram, with an ATI 5850 and same issue here, looks like it's running at 10 frames per second LTA. Looks pretty good though, just probably some tweaks needed. Considering your PC and the fact its smooth on it, this probably points to some kind of bug.

The lag is definitely due to the alpha ramps.

On my (admittedly weak) system, I have absolutely no issue as long as alpha ramp accuracy turned down either all the way or just two notches above minimum. Plays fine, even in multiball. However the ramps then look ugly, curves not round but jagged. As soon as I set the accuracy higher so that the wire tracks and ramps look good, I also get terrible lag and stutter that makes the table unplayable.

Yeah, my "alpha ramp accuracy" is set in the middle but once I slid over to the complete left, it worked pretty good 90% of the time (a little stutter every now and then). It's kind of funny but the frame rate is so bad, it wouldn't accept the quarter input!

LTA: what is your slider set to?

In video options I have:

Draw ball decals, antialias ball, full screen, at full screen anti-stretch
Harware device rendering, max texture dimension unlimited
alpha ramp accuracy in the middle

On my test rig I have a nVidia GEFORCE 9400 with 1 GIG
on my cabinet I have a newer nVidia with 2 GIGs

Windows XP svc pack 3, with no services running except essential ones.

Thanks for the info. Weird, my system should trounce your test rig. I'll chalk it up to one of those things, not the first time a table runs better on a lesser system. smile.gif

Yes, I had to turn the alpha ramps to solid in order to get it working... and this is without a backglass installed yet.

My slider was 2 in from the left already, so it must be the alpha.

Maceman

btw- Is there just a static BG currently?
