Yellow Submarine 2012 FS B2S Alt Mod

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x B2S Cabinet Tables (B2S)

Author(s): JPSalas, Maceman, Rosve, Mod: Bob and Djtroyboy

Description:
This is a very cool mod for the yellow submarine table from Bob5453. It includes the scripting for using djtroyboy's 50+ Beatles Mp3's. Thanx to Starman as well for some graphics i used that come from his collection of fine graphics!!!
I feel the tweaks of this version are much better than mine:) It fixes some issues with scoring as well!

You can PM Djtroyboy if you need to find his MP3 tweaks and where they are located.... or just ask around smile.gif
All MP3's are to be dumped into your Music folder in VP.
Enjoy!!

You can find those 50 mp3's in my....

Beatles 2012b FS B2S

http://www.vpforums....u...l&f_id=5559

If you have the latest Beatles FS table, then you will already have those 50 mp3's in your music folder and this table will work with them.

I am experiencing a strange graphics issue with this one that I'm not seeing on the other FS release of Yellow Submarine. There are these yellow checkerboard type patterns all over the screen. Please see my screen shot. Game seems to play just fine otherwise. Wondering if there is a fix for this. Please advise. Thanks much!

Holy crap DJ smile.gif

Try clicking on the main playfield where you see the big gray rectangle, this is ramp2, delete it if you find it and then try playing again. That ramp is just the clear edges on the plastics. I don't know why you are seeing that pattern if it is the ramp though.

Yeah, isn't that bizarre? Have never seen that with any tables before. I tried to find the gray rectangle you mentioned. I deleted a rectangle that is just below the green bumper in the middle of the playfield. That didn't seem to do anything though....still the same weird graphics issue. So not sure if I deleted the correct one or not. No big deal really. I could probably edit the script for the other Yellow Sub table to add the extra songs in there.

Ramp2 is huge. I think you just deleted the Yellow submarine decal. When you choose/highlight an object, it is shown in the editor's Object Option Properties, which are on the right side of the editor and it's name, "Ramp2" will be displayed at the top of this menu.

Try this. Open the script. At the top of the script, there are 2 drop down menus, open the left drop down menu, find ramp 2 in the list and left click on it, then close the script, hit the delete key on your keyboard to delete ramp2. Now try table, if it works, save the table.

The reason for this issue is because of the height of ramp 2. If you drop it down to 53 high, it should render properly.

Maceman

Why would the height of 53 be any different than 54.9 and did you see the same problem as his screenshot?

If it is the ramp, the ramp is alpha and the image is a png and there is no yellow in those areas of the image. Same exact setup as in most of my latest tables.

Bob - I tried this first and it worked for me. Looks great! Good instructions too. Now what did I do exactly to the table? Does it play any different or am I seeing anything different? Thank for helping me to get it working.

The only time i get a similar result is when the plastics layer is too close to the layer for the walls. For example, the slingshot wall is 55 high and your ramp2 is 54.9. On my computer, when i have them this close, i get bleed, which is what i thought maybe troy was seeing.
By moving it slightly lower, it went away on my system, so i thought it could work for him. I wasn't looking at file format, just distances... That was all smile.gif

djtroyboy, removing that ramp2 only removes the clear plastic edge around the plastics that you can see in the screenshot in the first post. It is only a visual thing, so you don't need it for anything.

Mace, interesting, I know what you are referring to, but in this instance he is seeing graphics where there were no graphics on the png image. I think it has more to do with all of the larger size images used and he is running out of memory. There are like 6 full table size table images in the image manager. I know the 1024 box is suppose to resize images, except bmps, but I'm not sure if it is really resizing png images either. But then, I'm only guessing also. smile.gif
