Why, thank you, thank you for this WS version of Fireball!

It is absolutely amazing how much intricate, detailed work goes into making such an excellent classic as this is! Another inductee into the VP Hall Of Fame, for sure!

Thanks for taking the time to make this WS "for the rest of us" who don't yet have FS capability. otvclap.gif (emphasis on "yet").

Very sorry, there must be something exceedingly obvious that is just escaping my mind tonight ....

When I go play the table, the flippers look like this ...

Note: I've not made any changes to the flippers, or anything else. The table is the default way you set it up.

How should I fix this so the flippers play like they should? (I'm gonna freak out at how stupid I am when you tell me.) rolleyes.gif

Thanks,

Very nice Walter.
Can't wait to give it a try. Been playing a real one a lot. That spin disc is a real drain monster on the real one.

Peter,
nothing's stupid here. Try what 1234fd said above if you're using a AMD/ATI card and also should be checked: Hardware redering on.

fahq,
the FS version is made a little more difficult.
In this WS 1.0.1 version it's easier to achieve the skill shot. I got some complaints in this regard.
In this case would be a 3-ball game more adapted and a higher challenge.

I have tried to make the behavior of the disc as random as possible. In my version the center shot is also easier as on the real one.
This way the flippers close more often when the center mushroom bumper is hit. Also the left Odin-kicker is pretty easy to hit. A multi-ball situation is thus made quickly.
But because of the relatively large gaps there's usually not very long joy with more than one ball. They leave the table quite surprising fast.

Even after a short acclimatization replays are no longer rare.

Servus
Walter

Peter,
nothing's stupid here. Try what 1234fd said above if you're using a AMD/ATI card and also should be checked: Hardware redering on.

Thanks, Starman, 12324fd ...

The "Reorder Playfield Objects" box was already checked ON. I do have an ATI Radeon vid adapter.

The "Hardware Rendering" box was NOT checked.

Note if anyone else has this issue: check Hardware Rendering ON and then quit and restart VP.

I'd set the Hardware Rendering on and then launched the table ... this had very unexpected results. Much of the playfield was blanked out! It took a couple of tries, but yes ... I had great success restarting VP after turning Hardware Rendering on.

I LOVE it when the ball gets caught in the spinner wheel! It almost acts like it's been caught in a black hole or something. I even had it where the ball stayed right in the middle for almost 10 full seconds. VERY nice!!! otvclap.gif

Thanks again for the WS version of Fireball.

During Multiball Starman the spinner sucked up one of my balls to the middle and never let go of it. I couldn't nudge it out
