Another exquisite table that is very near photoreal!
I've never played tables like this ... there were tables at the horse races during the 3 County Fair that had the look and feel of pinball. By continuously shooting the ball into the playfield, my "horse" would advance across this big mechanical scoreboard depending on what score I received on my table. Other players would be representing other "horses" as they played their tables. Whichever horse reached the finish line on that scoreboard would set off a bedlam of bells, sirens and flashing lights, being the winner, of course.
But, at the time, I didn't consider it to be pinball. As a kid at that time, I did not know the history of pinball, and that this type of table was a vital part of the origins of the games I loved and played ever since. I just couldn't get my head around the fact that there were no flippers. Couldn't interact with the ball (the table was encased in a lengthy, solid counter encasement with 9 other tables, essentially preventing nudging). No flipping, no trapping, no control, other than what force you used with the plunger. I had fun with it, especially when I won a few races ... but I didn't consider it to be pinball.
But today, I see here that this is an excellent game in its own right. Nudging this table IS allowed!

So I get to learn the REAL way to play pinball as it was originally designed. The problem with that is that I can't stop playing now!
