549 downloadsDecided to finally start building my own VP table. So far it's been a really good learning experience. I've designed probably a half dozen variations very crudely to narrow down the feel and flow of the table. Since then I've focused my energy on the playfield layout, design, and art. I plan on using this in a similar fashion to how most re-created tables have been built to place the components exactly where I want them and tweak the art later as need be. My skills lie more in the realm of art and graphic design, as such I'm going to have a hell of a time doing the programming on this table. As it matures, I freely welcome any and all that are interested in assiting with the coding work. I have a specific rule set established for this game and imagine the coding to be pretty straight-forward once the table has been built and layed out in VP. Someday I'd really like to explore having a DMD for the table that's able to be placed on a 3rd monitor, as I'm planning this to be a FS table. With that in mind, any animators out there that want to help out with the DMD portion of this, let me know as well!
Lastly, and this may be a lofty and ambitious goal, if this table turns out to be half as fun as I'm hoping, I'd like to someday build a real, physical model of it. Always dreamed of having my own custom pin that's just not a re-skinned version of someone else's brain child. How cool would it be to know you helped out on building not only a digital pinball table, but a real one...??
With that, here's the start of the playfield. I openly ask for advice, comments, and constructive criticism..... I think this is going to be a really fun project.
